tOSU at Nebraska, Nov 6th, 12pm ET, FOX

See, ya'll got the Frisbee catching dogs that can bail you out right now, but eventually....

Hope Day doesn't keep this pass all the time when the run is working mentality...

The last two years showed what his ideal offense is. Run the ball 50-60% of the time, deep PA, long throws to the sideline to keep the defense honest. Sermon did not have the talent of Henderson but had great vision and OSU was able to pound the ball without running Fields often. Henderson will develop that with time.

I don't think the execution is there on the OL. Way too many blown blocks inside by PJJ or Wypler. Other than that, the play calling is stagnant. There were a few drives where they mixed it up and ran counters, to the edge, etc. but it's 90% inside zone, an RPO, (which seemed to be the most successful play) and a bootleg to the TE. There is no bread and butter running play right now and it's glaring.

Why? Because our TEs are so damned prolific?

Because it's much harder to run without a TE to block. Also makes it harder to tell what you're going to do. Those naked boot TE throws are one of the few plays keeping the D from teeing off.

Purdue also got 4 int vs Iowa....

I'm telling you all this team is in trouble next week and I hope the spread next week is big enough to warrant taking them in the upset pick.

Yep I 100% agree... depends which team we get.

Our playoff hopes could be over next week if we don't get our shit right.

No one here disagreeing with you after the past few weeks, and the playoffs are an afterthought if the offense doesn't unfuck itself.

Makes it harder to block? How?

If we went 4wrs with no TE. If the other teams don't put in another DB then you have a mismatch somewhere. If they do change out a LB for a DB you have a run advantage.

Even if teams stayed in their base they'd still have to align another player out of the box.

This is not a TE offense and will never freaking be a TE offense. If we weren't last year we sure as shit won't be this year or the next 3-4.

We have WRs for days and IMO you use that to your advantage.
