Point was Henderson and the run game in general was never given a chance to get rhythm. Every time a RB would run for good positive yardage it’d be followed by two passes.

Henderson had two or three rushes out of his 21 that went over four yards. For the second game in a row we could establish a solid and sustained rushing attack...

You call that run game “working?” Short passes can be about the same as handing it off. Joe Tiller used to do that. They weren’t all short passes but none of them were dropped. The clock stops on a first down whether you get it running or passing. After seeing the Huskers race down the field a couple times I don’t blame Day for making it a two score game. It worked.

Passing the rock almost caused CJ to lose a fumble with less than 2 minutes left. Sayin - running the ball in crunch time is where teams make their $$$

Corn just plays the top teams tough and losses close.

I think it was probably disciplinary. If he was hurt then he probably would’ve made the trip and been standing on the sideline in street clothes.
