tOSU at Nebraska, Nov 6th, 12pm ET, FOX

Uh, Henderson didn't average six yards a carry...not even close. He had 92 yards on 21 carries (4.4 ypc).
Still a first down every 3 plays.

And not this offensive game plan has been absolute trash the past 2 weeks.

Why is it whenever we play a decent team we look exactly the same way. Move the ball at will through the 30s and yet can't do a damned thing to get 7.

What I notice is teams are stacking the box and are conceding 400 yards passing. Why? Why, aren't we putting 4 Wrs out there to get people out of the box?

We keep doing the same things over and over and it's failing .

You have a coach that continues passing the rock when the run game works.

I know a bit about that...sigh...

Just sayin': Nebraska does have a great fan base.

I agree with running the ball more in short yardage, but honestly they just can't win blocks and every run is 2-4 yards. Sometimes that is on Henderson missing holes, but he's usually running into clogged lanes. When they go under center the backside defender can get in for a TFL because there's no threat on the edge.

Until they can figure it out, this offense is 2018-esque and will struggle to score TDs. A bit surprised Day doesn't have better plans for the running game and constraints to keep the defense honest. I keep waiting for them to turn it on and take it to that next level, but right now this is who they are.

Stroud wasn't great, but made some great throws. Passing game loses effectiveness when PA isn't there and the defense knows that's the only consistent way you can move the ball. Losing Wilson hurts, but not sure he makes a significant difference today.

Point was Henderson and the run game in general was never given a chance to get rhythm. Every time a RB would run for good positive yardage it’d be followed by two passes.
Yes exactly...

I don't know what's going on with this team but on offense it's broken..

Next week will be an absolute war with how well Purdue is playing defense. I'm honestly not confident in these last 4 weeks.

You call that run game “working?” Short passes can be about the same as handing it off. Joe Tiller used to do that. They weren’t all short passes but none of them were dropped. The clock stops on a first down whether you get it running or passing. After seeing the Huskers race down the field a couple times I don’t blame Day for making it a two score game. It worked.
