I just don't think that 6 yards on 4 attempts is good enough. I haven't been very impressed with Herron or Saine this year yet. I am seeing so little of the Buckeyes that I don't feel confident blaming them, but I'd really like to see Hall and Berry get some work in the second half and just see if this is the line or our backs. This team needs a better running attack if they are going to make a run at the NC.

Remember that our run game wasn't all that spectacular last season until after the loss to Purdue..

You know, I think Boom and Saine are both decent, serviceable backs. It's just that neither one is "special." On the other hand, I think Hall and Berry both have the potential to be special. At some point, I just can't imagine that one of the younger guys starts getting some reps with the first team.

As for the second half. This is where we separate the contenders from the pretenders. The great teams find a way to win this type of game. Doesn't have to be pretty...just has to be a win.
