Game Thread tOSU at Illinois, Sat Oct 2, Noon ET, BTN

An absolute blessing that we are up at half, but I hope this team comes out in the second half with a sense of urgency in spite of taking the lead. The reality is Illinois has probably out-played us this half. The running game needs to step it up. The line hasn't been very good at all in the running game, but there have been times when there's been holes and open space, but the backs we've had in there aren't exploding. They look almost tentative at times. I don't know what was changed last year to get the running game going, but that switch needs to be hit again. We can't keep relying on Pryor to bail us out through improvisation.

Let's not forget that Illinois had a bye the previous week, which means less tape for the coaches to dissect.

Second half adjustments will show if this becomes a close win or a one sided affair.

Exactly!!! And in first B11 game, on the road, windy.....

I'm not worried

I know Tress is all about Saine and Herron, and don't get me wrong they are very good, but it would be great to see Hall/Berry in there move through holes with their shiftiness. Saine, and Herron just haven't gotten anything going.
