tOSU at Illinois, November 28th, Cancelled

Gotta wonder if they would have just shut it down for the week and postponed the game if we actually had a bye week like we should. Instead they pushed it knowing we can't afford to miss a game and now could see a massive outbreak and end of season. Thanks B1G fuck you.

The concept was everyone in the B1G played that last week. What if we get back for the Michigan game and beat a quality team (wisky?) In that final week to go 6-0.

That gives us an argument.

And the trajectory this is taking there may not be any conference champs.

Long shot to be sure.

This all could've been avoided with leadership. While the ACC and SEC were playing football a bunch of six-figure salaries in the B1G were twiddling their thumbs, trying to figure out what to do next. They pissed away 5 weeks before finally deciding to play.

Notre Dame has played 9 games and we're sitting here with 4 and wondering if we'll get another one. Piss poor leadership, no excuses.

Because the numbers probably kept going up throughout the week. This shit spreads pretty fast and you pass it on before you know you even have it - even with the strict testing protocols they have in place.

In other words, they probably still don’t have a final tally on who all will end up being positive from this “uptick.” So they can’t travel and they can’t play until they have a better grasp of the situation at hand, before it gets worse.

I work in healthcare so as an "essential" worker I've not missed a day because of Covid. We've had several employees catch it, and many others quarantined due to exposure.

So please, resist the urge to explain this virus to me. You don't go from "boarding the plane" to fuck it in a few hours. There's no grand revelation in that short of period.

Yeah somehow IU hasn't missed 1 damn game yet here we are...

Oh well... let's skip next week and then hopefully we can be ready for the game. Win that and then maybe we get voted in based on potential.

Hey at least we got to see 4 games... I always thought to myself "just give me 1 game" so I literally cant complain.

Still though to go through a whole work week and to get this news inches from the game is brutal.

That's a good point, I was resigned to the fact we wouldn't see a game all year. But still just tough to stomach when you know the potential. If this was the first cancelation, it wouldn't suck so bad. At this point though, I honestly just hope they cancel next week and we play The Game, regardless of whatever happens beyond that.

No grand revelation, but a probably a confirmation of numbers hitting that cancellation threshold mentioned in the press conferences around the season restarting. Also, this could say it's a little bigger problem in the area than just the OSU team...

Yes, there is when you have PCR tests come back showing more positives than you had before. I highly doubt Ohio State is operating with any experts on your level but I’m sure they’re doing the best they can.
