Easily the worst game this year by this team, in my opinion. A few weeks ago, I was very sure that they win out. Now, I am not so sure.

This is the most points that Illinois has scored on a B1G opponent. Shocking.

Wisconsin has put nearly 500 yards of rushing on Indiana today. Allowed on 3 points.

I thought Iowa was worse. That was actually a game. This has never been in doubt, despite how desperate ESPN is to say that Illinois is playing us.

It doesn't matter what the final score is. The narrative will be the same.

Disagree with this. If Ohio State blows out Illinois then they can't justify moving Stanford ahead of the Buckeyes this week (if Stanford wins tonight). If Stanford beats USC then come Monday the Cardinal will be number 3. Hell, Ohio State may end up an undefeated 5 if Baylor keeps rolling. This game (all on the defense, by the way) will really ding Ohio State with the voters.

It makes no difference who we root for. If TSUN is gonna be [Mark May]ty we might as well get some enjoyment out of it

I know that it makes no difference who people root for. And now that they officially can't do anything to help us, I'm all in on wanting to wallow in some Vulvarine misery ever game, though I'll root for them in their bowl. What I can't fathom is people slobbering at the bit to watch them get blown out by bama last year or drop their ooc games this year. Those are things that will directly influence Ohio State's ability to play for a national championship.

It was only a few weeks ago, that some people were shouting me down for daring to hypothesize that an undefeated Ohio State could end up locked out of the nc game. Now, we're staring at the possibility of getting knocked back into fourth by frickin' Baylor. Baylor! And don't think that there wouldn't be a chorus of pressure to bump Stanford over us if this were next year for the last spot in the four team playoff. Strength of conference does matter and strength of our historic rival matters a great deal. Unless hating Michigan means more than the thought that Ohio State players working and sacrificing towards a goal might get shut out over things beyond their control.
