FWIW, I think the appropriate outlook is somewhere between, "It's an ass-whoopin', enjoy it" and "These guys are playing like [Mark May] and destroying their image with pollsters."
They are dominating this game, but not playing well at all. The scoreboard is not an indication of how this team is doing because Illinois is so bad. Today at least, this team needs to measure its performance by the standard it sets for itself, and apparently Coach Meyer feels they are not living up to that so far today.
Yeah on pace to win 70-28 againsta top 25 passing offense while missing two starters on D.
So disappointing.
Seriously?
My wife even commented today that it has to be tough for he team to play inspired when the competition is so wanting. I think it goes to your point here of the performance standards the team sets for itself, as well as, players individual goals.FWIW, I think the appropriate outlook is somewhere between, "It's an ass-whoopin', enjoy it" and "These guys are playing like [Mark May] and destroying their image with pollsters."

Sweet Lou... I will never say anything bad about you again. Thanks for calling out [Mark May]'s obvious bias.
Look at him, the Urb, kicking ass for all us sinners...I, for one, take comfort in the fact that Coach Meyer is out there not takin' 'er easy and enjoyin' the big win.
Mark May's argument that the B1G is weak is that Michigan lost to Bama in September. It angers me how ludicrous his line are.
I want to be there to see it. Then, I want to replay the TD without a full complement on the field against Pitt. Screw him. What's going to come of Mark May's career when we win the first 3 College Football playoffs?
Is he going to protest Braxton's Heisman next year? Or Dontre's the year after?
How is he going to handle Saban's move to USC?
I'm worried for the man.
