Game Thread tOSU at Illinois, Nov 16, 12 ET, ESPN

If they lose, we move up. This game isn't going to prevent an undefeated Ohio State from being 1 or 2 if Alabama/FSU lose. I don't care if we win in 16 overtimes because Illinois runs out of healthy players.

Actually it might. I think there is a contingent of voters out there--many of them drawing a frickin' espn paycheck--who would look to bump an undefeated Baylor ahead of us. Fair? Rational? No! Reality? Absolutely!

Remember, there were plenty of people only a month ago shouting me down at the mere mention that an undefeated Ohio State would get passed over for the NC game at all.

FWIW, I think the appropriate outlook is somewhere between, "It's an ass-whoopin', enjoy it" and "These guys are playing like shit and destroying their image with pollsters."

They are dominating this game, but not playing well at all. The scoreboard is not an indication of how this team is doing because Illinois is so bad. Today at least, this team needs to measure its performance by the standard it sets for itself, and apparently Coach Meyer feels they are not living up to that so far today.

So Ohio State winning 21 in a row isnt impressive because they "havent played anybody"

this coming from the same ESPN dolts who praised Boise when they were running through the swiss cheese WAC
