No question Matta can recruit with the best of them, but the lack of maturation and improvement during the course of this season has been troubling to say the least. Every other top 15 team has gotten so much better this year, we have most certainly regressed.

Thats really what a bunch of people have been saying, unfortunately. Matta has it right about playing great defense, but these guys dont. So when thats the case the offense has to carry on for a while, right? Where's the offense and whats the plan?

If its kick it in to Sullinger, the guy kicking it in cant run through the paint pulling the guy guarding him in to Sully. He has to step out or cross the court and pull his guy away not toward the ball. Then, and everyone knows it, you have to make open jump shots when he kicks the ball back out. Thats been horrible for this team and it really shouldnt be considering how some of these guys are supposed to be "great" shooters. Its an enigma why they arent playing better basketball.
