I second that point. 90+ percent of those OSU teams during the Cooper era WERE the better teams. But ole Knute Cooper just couldn't get it done.

But 90% of the time Cooper went against Michigan the Wolverines had the better QB. If 80% of baseball is pitching, then 60% of football is quarterbacking.

That's about as straight an article as I've read. It was a lesson in Tressel ball. I'd like to see a bit more from the punter, but on the other hand Thome seldom out kicks his coverage. That takes away just one more opportunity for the bad guys to get a quick score.

I don't like Tressel ball, but I sure like the wins and I think that's what Gregg is essentially saying.

While I understand the frustration in this comment, doesn't a good team, no a great team, play the game to the best of their abilities and figure out a way to win. He's wrong about Ohio State, he's right about beating themselves. But a good team will force turnovers and make an opposing look like a loser. Oh Zoltan...He's just mad because he's the best player on the team and only gets to be on the field for 6 plays a game. If only Tate had let Zoltan punt instead of turning the ball over.

No shit. I sat through every one of the 2-10-1 games in person. We deserve a little one-sided redemption. I'll never forget Tressel's first win at the pig house, i was there for that one, too.
