Game Thread tOSU 21, TSUN 10 (Nov 21, Noon ET, ABC)

Well, Thad was pretty lucky to be right there to blast Tot and keep the fumble alive. KC was pretty lucky to read Tot's eyes and bolt to the sideline to pick off that air mail. Thad was also pretty lucky he could jump that high. And Torrence was lucky that he was standing 4 feet from that WR. Opportunistic=Lucky.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E5gPKBD_tM&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - The O-H-I-O Cheer Takes of Michigan Stadium[/ame]
This doesn't do justice to how loud this was. I was sitting on the 35 yard line of the second 'O', and it was VERY LOUD from there. Louder than even at Indiana. The first time we did it, Michigan fans tried to drown it out with boos, but we were louder!!! I've NEVER seen anything like it in my life. Other than the Michigan student section, the whole stadium looked more Red than any other color.

How embarrassing!!! How can you let your arch-rival do their own cheer throughout your whole stadium? And the first time was while the game was still in doubt and nobody had started leaving yet.

A few friends of mine didn't go to the game, but were at bars around the Michigan campus, and they said there were as many OSU fans in the bars as Michigan fans. Friday night while walking to the bars I'd just scream out "OH" and always get "IO" back. By the way...the fact that you have to wait in line forever to get into bars there is terrible. What a terrible campus. There were no hot girls except for the ones wearing scarlet and grey. The place is a dump. But invading the dump was a whole hell of a lot of fun! One of the best weekends of my life.

As far as the game was concerned, we played fired up football for 60 minutes, just like I feel we have EVERY game in November. Tressel sure is clutch in November, and so is Pryor. This was Pryor's second November in a row with only 1 turnover...that was also an INT against Michigan. The last QB to turn the ball over only once in November was Krenzel in 2002, and Pryor has done it twice already. How you play in November is the most important thing at OSU. Pryor is now 6-0 in November, with 11 total TDs and only 2 turnovers. Pryor played great this weekend, making good decisions and knowing when to throw the ball away, or where to place the ball where it was either going to be caught or incomplete. He took one chance on a 3rd down, and got burned, but i'm okay with being aggressive on 3rd down. I thought the plays that Tressel had for the ground game were great.

We ran the football down their throat. A lot of misdirection using all 3 of our best runners (Boom, Zoom, and TP). Those are exactly the type of running plays we need to keep using. As Pryor gets more and more experience and can start passing more out of those formations and use play action more effectively, it's going to be a very dangerous offense. We are putting Pryor in situations where he can help us win football games...and big football games at that, without him there is no way we would be undefeated in November in the last 2 years. And last thing about the offense...I'd much rather run for all my yards than pass. It's much more satisfying and degrading to the other team.

The defense played lights out against an offense that had been putting up a lot of points. Forcier hadn't thrown that many INTs this year. Forcing 4 of them was huge. He looked confused out there, and our D-Line stayed fresh and strong, but their O-line got tired, and we started to really dominate in the 4th quarter. Great game by the defense holding them to 10 points, and the only TD they did score was after the ONE turnover.

As far as the game atmosphere...the Michigan fans were more fired up than i've seen them in years. They were very loud before the game. Booed our band and our team louder than I have EVER heard. It reminded me of how we reacted to their band and team in the 90s (and still do :slappy: ). Payback is a bitch. The place was pretty loud, everyone was up the whole game, but it's just really hard to get the noise level as high as it gets in The 'Shoe just because of the way the stadium is built. Eventually though the Michigan fans knew it wasn't going to happen, and weren't as loud, and then eventually left when Forcier threw that INT to Torrance.

We got to the stadium pretty early, and MANY Michigan fans as they walked in would say, "Oh my god! Look at all this Red!" We were in a section that should have been all Michigan fans, but I would say it was at least 25% OSU fans. There were other areas around the stadium that looked to have even more, and that doesn't even take in to account the actual OSU sections in the end zone. For a weekend..Ann Arbor was turned into Columbus North. So now we have Columbus West (Indiana) and Columbus North (Michigan). It must be nice for Pryor...he hasn't had to play a road game in The Rivalry.

Go Bucks!!!
369 days until The Game!
2193 days since Michigan beat Ohio State!
3292 days since Michigan won in Columbus! (This will surpass 10 years before next years game)

I was hoping somebody could answer this question for me. At the end of The Game, with about 40 seconds left when OSU was just taking a knee, TBDBITL started playing a song that I have never heard them play before. You could hear it on the ABC broadcast in the background. They played it again after the game was over and they were celebrating. These were the only two times they played it. It wasn't any OSU song, and it wasn't seven nation army. It was something they only played there while we were taking a knee and the game was over.

Any clue?

I'm flying out Today for Thanksgiving, but If anybody could please find/post a pic of Michigan Stadium overhead right before the beginning of the 2nd half, I would greatly appreciate it. This shot showed just how many OSU fans were in attendance (it basically made the student section look like the visitors section)

Since I will be out, if someone could PM me a link. I will forever be greatful

:oh:

Don't recognize it, but it sounds like the Vaudville play 'em off type music.

Warning, this Shit will piss you off!

I thought about posting this in it's own thread I'm so pissed off.

I'm in the UK and watched THE Game on ESPN America. 3 times during the game they showed the below Ohio State promo piece. It starts off as a really nice tribute, and then halfway through turns into the ultimate Buckeye nightmare.

WTF ESPN America? They never showed anything similar for Michigan.

I believe it was "California, Here We Come". The original version, not the OC version haha. It's a band tradition.

California Here We Come. Awesome!!!

Here it is at the end of this clip of the Iowa game. I figure i'd post it here so you all can listen. Plus it's a great clip, even if it doesn't have anything to do with Michigan.

When is the last time Ohio State went to the Rose Bowl and Michigan had a losing record?

Thanks for posting that. I finally made it home and was able to see it. Sweet Murphy that second one is absolutely brutal and had NOTHING to do with THE Game.

That's my thought... WTF does that have to do with the greatest rivalry in all of sports? WTF does that mean anyway? That scUM was gonna roll? I may make one that ESPN can put in the Red River rivalry game for OKLA and all of their chokes (which are 30 times worse than that of OSU). I am sick of those panty waisted cry babies skating off instead of being shown out as the bust they are too. BTW the B12 isn't that much better per se than the Big 10 in the last 10-12 years. I can't wait to win the Rose Bowl and then roll over everyone next year.
