Game Thread tOSU 21, TSUN 10 (Nov 21, Noon ET, ABC)

Do they even have cable in Michigan players' asses?

Just the cable that holds these beads together.

Unfortunately, I have not. In fact, I have not seen a single piece of *ichigan apparel in the Fort Wayne area for almost two weeks now. I did see some cars with stickers last week, but I wasn't really thinking about it. If I see one with a window down, my window is going down and "Don't Give a Damn" will be turned up, followed by the Battle Cry.

Couple of tidbits:

-Beanie is also the only OSU player besides Paul Warfield to score a TD in 3 games vs scUM.

-We were talking about the 1961 team in another thread so I read up on The Game in '61. Woody was up 42-20 with :34 seconds left and the ball on his own 20. He proceeded to call a bomb to Warfield that went to the scUM 10, then another pass play to score the TD. To top it off he went for 2 to make it an even 50. Final was OSU 50 scUM 20.
I knew that Woody went for 2 and missed in 1968, and that's where his "couldn't go for three" quote came from. But I had no idea he went for 2 and converted it at the end of the 61 game. That's awesome. Hahahah...he did it twice.

Looking at that video of 1968, I see M I C H in the end zone. Did Ohio State used to change the end zone for every home game so that the visiting team's name was in the north end zone?

No, they were plugging James Michener's book "Hawaii".

Athletic Departments never change.

JT is already Idolized, but what would happen if JT pulled a Woody this weekend and then at the end he would say, I did it cause I couldn't go for three.

I would give anything for that to happen.
:oh:
Tressel doesn't need to copy off of Woody to create his own greatness. I'd rather JT not do that, but instead do EXACTLY what he should be known for...and that is go into Ann Arbor, win 38-0, and then after the game say, "That's the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry. We knew it was going to be the toughest, hardest hitting, game of the year. Michigan is a great team, and they never gave up."

You forgot to add..."And to get ready for the bowl game, we've got to just get better." :)
