tOSU -1.5 at Wisconsin (ov/un 122.5) Sat 2 ET, ESPN

If I was a Wisconsin fan, I would be upset about their inability to play well on the road. If you can play so well and be so unbeatable at home, you should be able to replicate at least some of that on the road. But every year, they play well at home, play like censored on the road, and get bounced in the 1st or 2nd round in the tourney.

Also, I believe, Ohio State has won 3 times at the Kohl Center, all three were vacated though - so maybe a good sign . . . . I'm glad we got the loss out of the way and I look forward to stomping them when we play them at home.

The thing that pissed me off more than anything with this game was Bo Ryan at halftime.

"They are hand checking us pretty good and we couldnt really get the momentum going like we want to. Maybe they'll start to call that the second half and we can get some better looks."

Happy motherfucker? How many ticky tacky hand fouls do you think you need to win a home basketball game? Piece of shit!

Just got home from work...couldn't Craft slow down Taylor?

Not in the second half. Not just Craft, but the whole team didn't do a good job of taking away the 3 from him. Taylor doesn't need much space to be open, and they gave him enough space to get his shots & he made them.

Wisconsin is not good. They won't make 13 threes or whatever next time we play.
You got that right. This was a fluke win IMO -- definitely not a measure of how the two teams compare without the insane three-point makes by Wisconsin in the 2nd half.

Also, why not continue to feed Buford in the 2nd half? The guy was on fire and then they totally forgot about him.

Exactly. If it takes another team shooting 64% from 3-point range down the stretch to beat the Buckeyes, they have big things ahead of them.
The most unreal one was when the redheaded guy faked a pass and then hit a three somewhat off-balance with about two minutes left. That would've been a key miss had we gotten the rebound and scored. But no, they make another fluke three.

Guys, remember this...

We lost today but we still have a 4 game lead on the conference. I don't know about everyone else but I would MUCH rather have a 1-2 loss regular conference season with a shiny Big Ten Championship trophy to put in our victory case.

What does Wisconsin with this victory? Nothing except for a warm feeling.

Even with a loss we come out on top.

Which one is better?

Beating No. 1 in football and men's basketball or never getting to No. 1?

Something to ponder, because I'd actually respect the school that made it to No. 1 in both sports (although I'm an alum and biased).

Doug Gottleib - who is a "genious" BTW - said that Ohio State was lucky to stay in the game because of Buford making mid-range jumpers and lost because they took too many threes.

That's right - Ohio State, who attempted 33% fewer threes than Wisconsin made were the lucky ones in this game according to Gottlieb. :roll2: He must've been too sleepy to watch the game. Those ESPN guys really need more rest.
