It looks like you took the average differential YPC per game. I calculated the differential YPC for the whole season, and that gives a different number.

EDIT: Upon closer inspection, the difference in our calculations is in OSU's average YPC. You took our average yardage per game and divided by our average carries per game to get 4.6. I took our total yards for the season and divided by our total carries for the season to get 4.44. This, combined with some rounding error, explains the difference in our numbers.

To get the number for the whole season I performed the following calculation to first get our opponents' combined yards per carry defense:

(W-X)
(Y-Z)




Where:
W = Combined rushing yards given up by all opponents (20004)
X = Yards they gave up to OSU on the ground (2085)
Y = Combined carries against all opponents all year (4736)
Z = Total OSU carries (470)

This gave me 4.2 yards per carry given up by all opponents, taken as a whole. I subtracted this number from:

X/Z : Total Yards per carry by OSU this year (4.44)

This give ME a differential ypc of 4.44 - 4.2 = 0.24 ypc

But if you want we can use your number, since it comes up with a prediction that we both like better :biggrin:

CFN's crew seems pretty confident about OSU winning. The scale is 28 (most confident) to 1 (least confident).

Dusted off a copy of the 1995 Notre Dame game and ripped it to DIVX. Bittorrent link is in my sig. It's one of those "Buckeyes' Great Games" videos you'd find at the campus bookstore or in the bargain bin. Not the actual ABC broadcast, but its like an ESPN Classic synopsis of the game in 30 minutes. Every play is in there though.
