Tony "Benedict" Alford (meh)

You wouldn't want anyone hurting their draft stock by getting a boo-boo. The real championships have actually been the high draft picks we nurtured along the way.
1) How many college football teams are there? That number minus one is how many teams would fire their WR coach yesterday to get Brian Hartline. I know those programs aren't run by people as smart as Kirk Barton, but they can't all be bastions of football knowledge like him.

2) So you're gonna go on record as saying you'd rather have a team of Evan Spencers instead of Olave, Garret Wilson, EE, and Marvin Harrison (and Julian Flemming, who......you know......blocked a bunch)? Because I'm not seeing a waterfall of championships with that roster, as much as I love me some Evan Spencer.

Edit - I removed the other video I posted but clearly you're only seeing what you agree with and NOT what is actually happening.

no, don't you know anything. you're not a good WR until your QB forgets to motion you in for a normal block and then you have to come full speed to make a probably now illegal crack back block. THAT'S what makes a good WR.

Agreed. Question is have the even been functional the last couple of years?
GMs in the NFL seem pretty happy with them as WRs for what that’s worth.

By the way, as an ultimate example of stupid offseason chatter I offer this thread with people complaining about the WR room the last few years.

You can’t make this stuff up. Absolutely hilarious.

There are several issues with the team the last few years and the WR room isn’t one of them.

Oh, I thought they needed to create separation and have good hands to catch first downs and TDs. I guess I misunderstood the game.

I have it on expert authority that WR blocking is THE reason that this team got down to the 59th minute against the last two national champions and came up short both times. There were, apparently, no other flaws on either team.

Of course no one actually said that, but as someone is likely to come along and pretend that such was not the obvious implication of what he did say, let’s all prepare to point and laugh. Yet again
