The big credit seems to have gone to the Iowa State defense, but bear in mind that Iowa State had a freshman quarterback:

I also seem to recall another OSU quarterback coach having a little trouble with freshman quarterbacks these last several years, even when they were rated number one in the nation, and completing even one pass per game was all that could be expected.
For these reasons, I am excited about the Hermanator. It is super cool to hear a mistake free offense being discussed, in conjunction with explosion. I enjoyed Tressel Ball, but if I must and if I had too, I could adjust to a mistake free offense with frequent explosions. I enjoy watching all the commercials that come after Ohio State touchdowns, and I am struggling to remember if the new Score Board can handle triple digit scores? With a generally good Ohio State defense and a non-explosive, mistake free offense, I am not sure the scoreboard has been tested that well.
Noting that OSU got the #1 rated QB in the 2011 recruiting and that Urban is working on the #1 rated QB (from Alabama) in the class of 2012, and the #1 rated QB in the class is 2013 lives in Ohio ....... I am beginning to daydream about 2 and 3 quarterback formations. I am envisioning sort of a Harlem Globetrotters style play in football with 3 great QBs on the field, in the backfield (not at wide receiver).
I better stop here before I start floating out of my chair ....

whew, very bad typo there, given where Morris is headedheisman;2060684; said:I think you meant Marshall.
I have confirmed with a source at Iowa State that Tom Herman will be named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Ohio State.
