To the Browns fans who want Bush...

NTs like Grady Jackson are situational players also...they play maybe 25-40 plays a game, and are hardly ever in on passing downs. A versatile NT is a rare find, and those are worth first rounders, but I would never take a guy like Ngata or Jackson in any early round, because they just don't play enough plays or do enough throughout the course of the game.

Lets see if the Browns listen to me this year:

Get 2 of Hawk, Carp, or Kudla to be the OLB's (Davis, Thompson, and Ruff are ok at ILB) I would take all 3 as long as one of them can play inside and Kudla was available in the 4th round
Get Sims in the 5th or 6th round to be a backup G/T
Get Salley in the 5th or 6th round to be a backup S
Get Huston in the 7th round if he's available
Sign Everett as a FA
If Whitner or Youbouty go draft one of them in the 3rd round.

If the Browns could somehow get Hawk and Carpenter with their first 2 picks I would go nuts.
you think salley will be around in the late 5th early 6th?

Maybe, I don't really know. Who's to say Huston will be there in the 7th. I'm guessing. When I was first thinking about it I had Salley in the 5th (early in the 5th) and Sims in the 6th, but I don't know if either will be there for those picks.
If you told me that the Browns would get Frye in the 3rd and Frasier as a FA last year I would have laughed at you.

There are a lot of players I like for the Browns in the first round. Best case scenerio is grabbing a really high pick 1-5 and trading for an extra first or second rounder. I put guys on the list that will be scattered throughout the first round. There is no excuse not to come up with at LEAST one of them.

D'Brickashaw Ferguson
Rod Wright
Jonathan Scott
Jimmy Williams
A.J. Hawk
Ernie Sims
Gabe Watson
Darnell Bing
Ahmad Brooks
Haloti Ngata
Michael Huff
Carp

The more I think about Ngata...the more I'd like for him to be a Brown.

Any chance the Texans missed that game tieing field goal to TENN on purpose this week?

Haha... I'd hope not. The Tits and the Texans are my teams, and it would be stupid if Kris Brown missed that on purpose. The theory of the Browns getting the first pick can be thrown out the window, though. There is no way that the Texans will win out. They have been somewhat competitive their last couple of games, though. I think that the Browns are better than their record indicates, though. They have played some good teams really close, but haven't been able to come up with a W, though. Romeo Crennel has done a great job with them this year, and I think that in 2 years they will have a pretty good chance of making the playoffs.

Ngata is an everydown player-apparently Oregon even occasionally dropped him into coverage-at 6'5 340. I'd love to see the Bengals snag Ngata, but that probably won't happen-he will be gone in the first 10 picks.
