The thing I don't understand is how you guys were accepting of him.

You're kidding right? One of the best O linemen in the Big 10 decides to:
A) Leave Michigan
B) Come home to Columbus to play for Ohio State
C) Take a shot at UM on the way out

He's in my top 5 of all time already and he hasn't played a down.

Gil Brandt at NFL.com ranked the seniors at each position for NFL potential and has Tebow first (ahead of McCoy, not sure where Bradford would fit in).

He had this to say:

tim-tebow-100x125.jpg
1. Tim Tebow

College: Florida
Height/Weight: 6-3, 245

Tebow will be a third-year starter in 2009. He has thrown 67 touchdown passes and only 11 interceptions in the past three years. He will have a new quarterback coach this year, Scott Loeffler, who came from the NFL. Tebow should be a top-10 pick in the 2010 draft.
Tebow is head of class among top college senior QB prospects

No he didn't claim he was Christ or talk about his abs and butt, but he did say he should be a top-10 pick.

If you're wondering who this Brandt character is, Phil Steele said this:

I talked to Gil Brandt again last week as he has GREAT insight to College and NFL players. Gil was Vice President of Player Personnel for the Dallas Cowboys from 1960-89 and was a key component to that franchise becoming the dynasty they were in that span. He is NFL.com?s main personnel guru and EVERY time I talk to Gil, I always have my note pad with me and I learn a lot. We discussed many players but he told me that he was putting up his complete list of rankings on NFL.com and they are great. He does only analyze SENIORS on the list but make sure you check it out today as I greatly respect him as an evaluator of NFL talent.

And if you're wondering who Phil Steele is, you're on your own.

Is Gil a renowned scout? Because that scouting report on tebow is little more than a written representation of his box scores. I think tebow's a winner, a great leader and person, but if you're going to hoist him up as an elite prospect you better address his flaws in your breakdown.

I'm assuming you either didn't read my whole post or you don't know who Phil Steele is.

Also, the "breakdowns" in that list are like 2-3 sentences. It's not a scouting report.
