Pac 10,Big 12,SEC...One of these conferences is not like the others........I doubt if FL loses one game, but win's the national title it really matters..There's not a whole lot he hasn't already done. You sounds as if you are reaching for that last grasp not to give him the credit everyone else will once he's done.

You might want to take a look at UF's schedule. It's not exactly like the one they played in '06.

I recognize he's done some special things. But I'm not ready to praise Saint Tebow. There are some holes in his game and career. I'm not a hater but I think he has some work left to do before he can be considered one of the greatest players of all time.

A leader does not talk about it - a leader demonstrates what is needed and asks others to give as much as he does. Everybody on the team sees how Tebow and Spikes and Stamper are walking the walk. Yelling "let's have a good summer workout" will not get it done. Tebow is all about actions and backing up his talk with substantive effort.

That's what I think too. Vince Young had a similar story about him telling everyone who wanted to beat Ohio State to be there the next morning for a workout in the offseason. So what makes Tebow better? That's what I'm arguing. Calling Tebow the greatest leader in college football history is ignoring a lot of history.

hes special. if youve seen him play appreciate it. greats come along from time to time. tebow is one of them. he also appears to be a special kid. if college football had the problem of having 200 tim tebows itd be a great problem...

It's not exactly like this year is the only year he has ever played. If you are going to base your thoughts on "if Tebow could have went undefeated",then so be it.

Yep. I was not calling him that. I guess I thought you said you did not see why he should be in the discussion as one of the best (not "The Best"). Maybe not the best, but as the 1st Soph Hesiman winner, with a role in two MNCs, he is at least in the discussion, IMO.

Who's this Tim Tebow guy? Never heard of him.

I spent some time in Oregon in my youth OC, salmon fishing out of Ilwaco and partying at Lincoln Beach on the West coast, skiing at Mt. Bachelor in Central Oregon, and elk hunting in the Blue Mountains in the North East part.

Where are you and the Mrs. thinking of going?

I love how this great post brings up several posts in a thread that hasn't been touched in almost two months.

You know who Tim Tebow reminds me of? Ken Dorsey.

You may ask why? Well it's because both of them will end their college careers with Ohio State shocking the world over them.

If you are a foreskin and are fortunate enough to spend five minutes to twenty minutes with Tim Tebow, it will turn your life around drastically.

Tebow's proven that either on or off the field, he can cut it.

Hell, in the 4th quarters of the SECCG and the BCSCG he was a combined
11 of 11 Passing, for 148 yards, with two TDs, O INTs and he rushed for 45 yards. What does he have to do??

12 of 11 passing for 5,499 yards with 17 TDs, -1 INT's, plus rushing for eleventy billion yards would all be improvements. I'm just sayin'.

It's just like any other player that becomes a product of the hype machine that is ESPN. UF fans love it and the rest of the country can't stand it because it gets beaten to death.
Fans may be saying the same thing about Terrelle Pryor next season if he happens to catch the fancy of the talking heads.
One of the guys on College Football Live already said that TP "has the tools to be the best college player ever."

Of course as soon as he said it the other guy said "Whoa, wait a minute. Better than Tim Tebow????"

Tebow has Kirk Herbstriet running his campaign this year and that's tough to beat. Gameday will be at some Gator games and they will probably play for the NC. I think Tebow is a great college player, but I can name 15 guys off the top of my head that were better players in college than Tebow. He's good and he has the hype machine behind him to push him into legendary status (even if he isn't).

Ahmad Black and Percy Harvin saved that game for Florida. Tebow certainly bounced back well, but he put UF well behind the eight ball with his putrid passing.
