Before Tebow stepped on campus, he was a legend. The same can not be said about Chris Leak.

Tim Tebow is already a Legend at Florida. Everyone likes him. He is a good person, too. But so far he hasn't accomplished anything. And until he does, he won't be a legend in the eyes of the players and coaches.
Either Florida has a very lousy list of legends, or you need to get to know a thesaurus.

Because of what he did at Nease. It is the same thing. The fans thought he was unbelievable, and then realized that he is human. The same will happen with Tebow, very possibly in a harsher way. He has a lot of improving to do if he wants to keep the fans happy.

True. But, he isn't a bad passer or player like most people think. He is a great runner, but he can pass. Meyer stupidly just never gave him much of a chance. When he passed he threw for 5 TDs and 1 INT, and had a quarterback rating of 201.73. He only attempted 33 passes. But trust me, it wasn't because he wasn't good it passing. Florida didn't have many good running backs, and he was a great runner and always got the short yardage needed for first downs, so Meyer used him more as a RB. But he can throw. I truly believe he will surprise a lot of people with his passing next year.

I actually like Brantley better than Tebow! I could see Tebow going to running back.
John Brantley is sick. But what Tebow did in high school was unbelievable. He was excellent in high school. But he is having trouble with his release time, and throwing the ball under the pressure of college football.

So who exactly regards him as a "legend" again?

I agree, but I watched every one of their games and went to three of them, and I am sure you have. You have to admit, he did not look good throwing the ball with the exception of Western Carolina.

I think he is referring to the fact that most fans in Gainesville have inappropriately anointed him the chosen one.
That's more understandable (ie Justin Zwick, Chris Wells), and a different definition.

Justin Zwick & Chris Wells were expected to dominate from day one. Those expectations however don't place them anywhere in the stratosphere of true legends like Troy Smith, Eddie George, Orlando Pace, Archie Griffin, Jack Tatum, Chris Spielman, etc.

He didn't look great at all. He throws a harder ball and has a better arm than Leak, but Leak throws the ball perfectly to the Receiver and always throws a spiral. But I certainly wouldn't be surprised if either John Brantley or Cameron Newton have a better career at Florida. But like most of our rivals and other fans think that Tebow is a bad passer, that is certainly not the case.

I never said that. I am well aware of what he can do. I have seen him play on both the college and high school levels, but he, admittedly so from Urban, is having trouble in the pocket at the high pace of college football.

Yea. But if Meyer gave him some more reps he would of been better at that.

We will see. Next year will be a tough test for him. Georgia is my pick to win the SEC.

Good pick. But they can't beat Florida and we have a pretty good schedule with most of our hard games at home. Not saying we will win it, but I wouldn't pick Georgia. I would pick LSU and then Florida. Florida to win the East and LSU to win the West.
