Speaking of all this 3:16 stuff...if this doesn't prove he is getting some extra help then i don't know what will.

-Wears John 3:16 on his cheeks
-Had 316 passing yards
-Average of 31.6 yards per pass
-TV Rating in the 4th quarter and overtime was a 31.6

Coincidence...i think not

I was able to put the bread in my toaster on 50% of my attempts Sunday, so I'm thinking that was connected too.

Any friend of Urban, is a friend of mine. Tebow having success can be a big recruiting tool for Urban Meyer. Hope he does well!

Uh, no. Tebow's pro success/failure has zero fucking impact on Meyer's ability to recruit at Ohio State...zero.

ESPN should honestly just devote an entire show, nay, network, to Tebow. That way the people that love him can watch it all day and the people that are nauseated by the 24/7 coverage won't feel like blowing their brains out for once.

You are simply wrong, IMO. QB prospects will hear that Meyer and tOSU spread will not prepare them for the NFL. This is not an opinion, this is a guarantee. If Meyer can point to Alex Smith and Tim as successful NFL qbs, he will have a far more credible answer to that often made point than the Gators had when we heard it in 05, 06, 07, 08 etc.

And if you don't think kids from a home school/Christian Evangelical tradition are not jacked about Urb being Tebow's friend, then I respectfully disagree.

If you meant that Meyer will be wildly successful in any event, then you are right.

You of all perople should know Meyer builds the scheme around his available personnel, and Meyer has been spooging his drawers over the prospects of having big backs at Ohio State. He will--not may, will--try to develop Miller into a pro-style passer who can escape pressure and who can, and will occasionally, run by design. You know damn well that Tebow at UF was nothing more than a fullback who threw the ball once in a while.

Steve Austin wore 3:16 on his t-shirt. If this doesn't prove he was getting some extra help then I don't know what will.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCccWvPFME0"]Classic Austin 3:16 speech from 1996 - YouTube[/ame]

It turns out, for one glorious sunday anyway, Tebow 316 and Austin 3:16 meant the same thing. Coincidence...I think not.

When he left Florida he was 11th in all time SEC passing yards. So, yeah, he threw once in a while.

Yeah, and he also set all sorts of rushing records for QB. Lots of his passing yardage was caused by his threat to run. Meyer ran the shit out of Tebow because he didn't have big backs...Tebow dwarfed virtually every back while he was there. Tebow may have got a lot of pasing yardage in college, but his throwing mechanics still sucked and to this day are not good.

Back to the original point of Tebow's pro success improving our ability to recruit QBs...the counter point would be that if Tebow sucked in the pros Meyer wouldn't be able to attract top-flight QBs to Ohio State. Wrong. You don't think if there was a Peyton Manning II out there in high school that Meyer wouldn't go after him hard? Look what he did with Alex Smith at Utah. Tebow could fall flat on his face next season and be a total bust, and it would have zero effect on our ability to recruit QBs.
