Tim Beck (HC Coastal Carolina)

The primary failings of the offense in most of the losses were trademark urban calls and tendencies. When things get tight, he runs his qb. He even talked about that at halftime of the NC game at the desk this year.

If he wants to run a pro style system, he needs to hire someone capable of doing that.

If he wants someone to run an offense, he needs to pick who that is and put them in a position to succeed. He did neither of those with the qbs or ocs.

I'll go along with that, at least to a point, but QB regression in throwing accuracy and velocity of decision-making in the passing game (IMO) is on Beck.

Is Gibson totally out as a future QB I assume?
He's out as a starter IMO. I believe he still is involved in some qb activities.

If they're smart, they'll use him to limit some of the mileage on Barrett. This only works really well if he is good enough to be a fixture in the offense and can rotate over instead of substituting in for those packages (which would allow the defense to sub to compensate)

And unlike the insanity with Braxton where they never even let him throw a bubble pass, Gibson has a live and healthy arm and can run like the wind

Oh that makes sense. Instead of practicing football, he has them doing things like building motorcycles.

That explains soooooooo damn much from last year. Sure we struggled with almost our entire schedule, but lets see Alabama QBs check the specs on the endline for the rotary girder.
This isn't a Beck thing, nor was the awful blocking on the perimeter (and frankly too frequently on passing plays from the OL).

Beck actually called his two best games of the year vs TTUN and ND.
Beck didn't call those games, he sat there and looked at the field. Warriner called those games. And that's why he'll be moved to the booth permanently next season as well. There's a reason the last 2 games looked so much different when Warriner was asked to go in the booth and right the ship

it helps when the opposition is hideous, as Michigan was without Glasgow. That was the same offense, run against a sieve and by an ultra talented bunch that finally decided to play hard and well on offense.

Notre Dame, on the other hand, was definitely a shift offensively and a welcome one.
