Tough life, but in my mid-20's I got sent out on a short-term transfer with my landing spot being Midtown NYC. Was a block away from the old Carnegie Deli on 7th. About every other day I'd get their soup and half sammy combo....the half was the size of a whole sandwich in reality. That pastrami getting washed down with matzah ball soup was some of the best soul fulfilling meals I've had. The sights and sounds of that time I'll always remember, thanks for sharing!

What year was that? I was there in 2007, 58th St between 8th and Broadway

2010 - you were around the corner. Didn't know how nice it was to walk through Hell's Kitchen and find great food. I remember going to some random hotel that all the buzz was about that had the best burgers, wish I could remember the name now but I remember thinking a lot of the stuff I heard buzz on was overrated but the hole in the walls came through....good thing to learn early in life!
