In charge of a vegtetable side dish year because Thanksgiving is at my Brother in Law's house.
I don't mind that one bit. My kids adore their cousins and there is always lots of new toys and games for them to play to keep them busy.
I know he likes it because he can drink as much as he wants and not worry about driving anywhere. 100% Win/Win in my book.

didn't get any pics, but I went back home to South Louisiana for a few days.
and OMG the food is just so much better there than anywhere else.
multiple PoBoys (shrimp, oyster, catfish)
gumbo (no fucking tomatos)
potato salad
jambalaya
boiled shrimp
vegetable soup
something about eating a Gumbo on the bayou that just hits different.
sitting out on the porch, smells of the bayou in the air, a cold Abita, som good Bayou Blues oozing from the speakers and even having to swat a few mosquitoes just makes it all feel "right".
