Since this thread is also about drink, I'm curious about @ORD_Buckeye 's Absinthe bender. I've always wanted to try it. I've seen it in a liqueur store or two. Is there a particular brand that I should try (or avoid)? What makes it different than any other decent quality booze?
about to get started on a jambalaya.
using shrimp, crabmeat (just finished peeling the leftovers from the crab boil last night), and green-onion sausage (also leftover from the boil last night).
just haven't decided what i'm drinking while cooking this evening.
first crawfish boil of the season.
just the wife and kids this time (gotta get a practice round in before inviting half the town).
nothing like a cold beer, the blues pouring through the speakers, and smelling the seasonings.
