Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Staying home is getting pretty old, just watched Mission Impossible 3, Tom Cruise saved the world again....:roll1: However, Sunday at Aldi I got these items for a meal:

The wife cooked it today. It really made a great fish and chips lunch. The fish and fries cook in the oven at basically the same temperature, ready in 20 - 25 minutes. Cooking on a wire mesh try where both sides brown worked out good too:

It was a good as fish and chips from a English pub (but without the pub atmosphere though).

I wasn't aware Cruise's career was in trouble; however, I don't follow the "Hollywood gossip" that close either. JJ Abrams was the director of the movie though.

Maybe "saved the franchise" would have been better. I feel like MI are the only money makers Cruise has had in the past 10-15 years. Top Gun might break that streak. Maybe jack Reacher, but I have seen either of those.

Cruise was doing better before MI3. That was his 6th straight 100M+ US box office. Edge of Tomorrow was the only non-MI flick since then to break 100M.
I haven't either, but Reacher's primary quality is his size . Bizarre casting.
?? Basically every Cruise-starring movie has made well over $100M (though certainly not all turned a profit) - including Valkyrie, Knight & Day, both Reachers, Oblivion, American made, and of course The Mummy.

edit: I see now you are using only domestic, but I don’t see that as meaningful of a number as it used to be. It’s clear from the int’l numbers that Tom Cruise is still a worldwide draw.

They haven’t made a movie about Jack Reacher yet just like they’ve never made a Dirk Pitt movie

Edit: I make a joke about they haven’t made a Jack Reacher movie then realize they made 2 and I had seen both LOL I didn’t even remember the 2nd

Oblivion was an underrated flick

His career was not nor is now dead. I was strictly commenting on exhawg's. MI3 was the end of a more consistent run. Not that he's hurting since.
