That is a great call. Did that one Christmas, made two pans of lasagna, full meat and veggie. Made them the night before and relaxed all Christmas day and drank. For some reason, the rest of the family thought it was weird and now I have to do the rib roast plus turkey and all the fixings, so I work like a dog all day.What are you guys doing for Xmas dinner?

Duck confit (w/ fingerling potatoes sauteed in the duck fat--and damn glad I ordered the confit early because it is now out of stock), foie gras, escargot and some kind of salad. Haven't decided on the wines but some combination of WV pinot and Burgundy. I'm betting on another French World Cup!What are you guys doing for Xmas dinner?

Well, if I still lived out east I might try and rustle up a West Virginny moonshine from some cousin for a digestivo! Will have to settle for grappa. Alas...Would suggest you try an Oregon Pinot and not a West Virginia one.
