Bob Saccamano

These pretzels are making me thirsty.
I know we have some metal heads on BP. I'm looking for some new bands to get into - specifically thrash, stoner, or progressive. Here are some of my favorite songs:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rVFi6qkPHE"]Anthrax - I Am The Law - YouTube[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNojdoI_D_M"]Tool- Jambi - YouTube[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7yCchUbbKM"]The Sword - The Chronomancer I: Hubris - YouTube[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXWq3f01e2U"]Metallica - Creeping Death - YouTube[/ame]

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYlUe-SDqA0"]Megadeth-Holy Wars...The Punishment Due(Studio Version) - YouTube[/ame]

What do you guys have for me?

Instead of posting YouTube's, I'll give recommendations.

Lamb Of God (must have in your collection)
-Absolute BAMFs.
Trivium (recently got into these guys)
-Classic metal type music.
All That Remains
-Metalcore
Clutch (depending on what era you listen to)
-Wide range of sound.
Black Label Society
-Zakk Wylde from Ozzy.
Decapitated
-Death metal with a wicked drummer (unfortunately deceased).
Deftones
Demon Hunter

-Metal.
Despised Icon
-Little bit o' thrash and standard metal.
Disturbed
Downset

-Rapcore.
Godsmack
Hatebreed

-Old school hardcore.
Helmet
Kataklysm

-Metal.
Killswitch Engage
Korn
Living Sacrifice
Mastodon
Operator

-Metal from the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd.
Pantera
Parkway Drive

-Australian metal. Very good.
Shadows Fall
-Similar to Killswitch. Same locale.
Shai Hulud
-Hard core.
Slipknot
Taproot
The Empire Shall Fall

-Former lead singer of Killswitch.
The Famine
-Metal. Bad ass drummer.
Zao

Let me know if you have questions about any in particular.

If anyone is in to long, experimental/psychedlic stuff, there's a great trio called Earthless who do 20 minutes instrumentals. Here is a 'sample':

I like a lot of what would be considered 80's/glam metal, bands like Def Leppard, Poison, RATT, Warrant, Winger, Whitesnake, Firehouse, Cinderella, Dokken, etc.

Probably not a place for them to co-exist with some of the hardcore bands listed in this thread

I saw Poisen open for David Lee Roth and Steve Vai in 198x (can't remember) and CC Devile ran across the stage, tried to jump up on a riser, and fell flat on his face (and guitar). The music was still perfect. Fuck those talentless fuckers...
