It might be the pumpkin headed part. I mean, are you saying her hair is too brightly orange? Does she have a strange stem-like growth? Is she wrinkled in a vertical manner such that her head appears sectioned like a gourd? To be fair, there are lots of ways to interpret the insult. Try not to be so flowery.

Her hair is dyed red but her head is in the shape of a giant pumpkin and her face looks like and old catchers mit from all the tanning she used to do.... maybe I do need to be more specific.
