The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

It's a shame comedian Gabe Delahaye stopped writing his weekly resumes of TWD's episodes on Videogum. There was some really funny snark in them--they made the show worth watching just so you could follow his articles.

Soooo...that episode had a bit more action in it, which was nice, but it basically told us: 1) all of the main characters are still alive (not a surpise); 2) all of the secondary background people from the prison are dead (not a surprise); The one girl from the Gov's party is still alive (not a surprise); the identity of Sociopath Barbie (also not a real suprise, maybe she and Carl will marry and have all kinds of little John Wayne Gacy Grimeses); the fact that Caol was basically stalking the prison (also not a surprise); that Judith was still alive (not at all a surprise); and that apparently there's another camp with another Rambo figure. So that could lead to some things, though if they try and reprise Governor 2.0 the show will officially jump the shark. Otherwise there was nothing wrong with the episode, but as has been said all season,. they could have accomplished in 15 minutes what they dragged out to an hour. It's almost like they don't want too much to happen so they don't have to come up with new ideas since they don't know how many seasons they are going to do. Maybe they think if they drag every 15 minutes to an hour they will get 4 more seasons. At this rate, I doubt it though.

That was one of the gripes from that youtube series. they were forced to drag 6 episodes into 13.....so they just have filler episodes and things that could happen in 15 minutes take an hour.

Good episode I thought but yeah, moved a little slow on story development. I would have almost preferred Glen to have been the zombie on the bus...this show is certainly becoming too predictable for my liking.

I also got a text saying this episode was an ad for Planned Parenthood and I have to agree

I thought it was a pretty good episode, but I think we all want to know how all the people on the bus got killed. I mean, of all the escapes, that one looked the most interesting, and all we got was Glenn saying "I got off the bus to help, and Maggie didn't see me." Okaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy. Well how did the bus only make it 200 yards down road?

I also like how 3 episodes ago, Tyreese wanted to kill Carole for butchering his new girlfriend, but now he acts like nothing happened. Shouldn't there have SOME hesitation in that greeting?

Does Tyreese know Carol was the one who did it? I don't think Rick ever explained it to him....but I could be wrong since that would have happened like 2 days ago Episode Time, and we all know 2 days in the Walking Dead stretches to 5 episodes with a Winter Break thrown in for good measure. Really helps you remember all the dumbass storylines they have going on all over the place.

I think this is right, Tyrese didn't even know Rick had kicked her out, let alone why. He wasn't aware Carol had confessed to it...though I imagine it was Sociopath Barbie that actually did it, and she was covering for her. I will say that scene where she was basically going to snuff out the baby was rather disturbing, moreso than most of the zombie scenes anymore.

And regarding Glen...here's a tip to the writers...if you are going to put in a cliffhanger as to whether he is dead and expect the audience to interpret a nuanced reaction from one of your actresses...don't put the fucker on the preview the week before, for shit's sake. Everyone that saw the preview knew 100% it wasn't Glen...waste of acting and a dramatic moment that had no mathematical chance of, you know, drama.

OK I'm curious as to the last part...in terms of...?

EDIT: I don't want to make this political, I am just curious as to what the underlying reasons for that are.

she started crying and then laughing after she killed that last Walker on the bus. I didn't think we were led to believe she thought it was Glen.
