I like the storyline. Our heroes going about their everyday let's have a fair merry way and new anti-heroes coming in and busting that shyte up. I'm hoping they suit Negan up at some point to sort shyte out. Sometimes getting rid of an anti-hero takes an anti-hero.

So far, so good imo. The acting has been much better and the whisperer story line is definitely intriguing and developing well so far. Definitely like seeing more Jerry and while that usually means hegone, I actually thought he was going to be a casualty in the All Out War finale for the same reason and it didn't happen, so who knows.

Well, that episode was incredible. Blatantly obvious they have changed directors and writers, this season has been so much better. The Whispers plot is being being developed in a transparent light, but one that makes the story so much more meaningful moving forward. I was all in favor of killing the show after Rick Grimes, but turns out it got abundantly better.

I agree...mostly. But...and it’s a big but...

For the love of God and all that is holy, 2 things need to end now. One is, get rid of the douchey kid everyone wants to dickpunch. Yes, I know they are making him that way on purpose. But this has been done on the show before. This goes way beyond Carl. This is Sam V2.0. Which is not good. You are bleeding viewers, and people are not tuning in to see what douchey thing he does this week. He has change the channel heat, yet he’s the only one in every goddamned episode other than Darryl. If they are setting up Carol vs. Alpha by spleenraping this kid by the end of the season, then yay. But if they drag him into the next season as the horny idealist doucherocket, people are going to turn off. Quickly.

Second, I love what Kang has done with most of the show, but she has a fixation on sex drama like Gimple did on walker gut porn. The entire Rosita/Gabriel/Sadiq/Eugene/milk man/UPS delivery guy/tow truck driver quadrangle of suck needs to end immediately. I agree this show isn’t just action sequences, but it isn’t 3 Men and a Slut with a Baby either. Now if they want to kill off all 3 guys at the same time at the Fair and explore being single mom amongst zombies, I am ok with that. But this show is treading dangerously towards what brought shows like ER and even X-Files down. Sexual tension is way more interesting than a bang fest.

Definitely agree on both of those fronts. Henry is annoying beyond belief and Rosita slutting her way out to the very end is not that entertaining. I think everything else has been so good that I just tuned those parts out mostly. But the Whisperers plot development has been phenomenal so far and the eeriness of the show is definitely back.

I finally watched it. Honestly, I was mostly bored, but I understand that they've got to set the lead-up to the fair episode. I'm having trouble buying the fat, nasty mom as their leader. Zero charisma and that ridiculous accent... my dad's people were from Balmer City and I never heard anything like that. Why (other than to preserve the story arc) didn't the daughter stab her in the throat and take the reins? Predator Beta seems like the type that would be, the alpha's dead, long live the alpha.

So in this episode stuff happened, but stuff didn’t really happen. It was kind of a jumbled mess. The beginning was terrible, you literally want to cockpunch Henry in the first 5 seconds and the whole “they will all...walk...with the guardians” thing was just hokey AF. And I realize we are just starting with Beta, but for being the muscle of the Whisperers he gets a D and as the brains he gets an F- in this episode. They have beaten this Henry bullshit to death, and it...looks...like maybe it all becomes part of something bigger, so there is hope, but I can’t take too many episodes that focus almost exclusively on teen angst. I’d watch Twilight if I wanted that. Also the new group is...well...whatever.

If I had 3 bullets and I was to be standing there with Negan, the Governor, Gareth, and Henry, I would shoot Henry 3 times and then pistol whip his corpse
