The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Sorry for the lack of the spoiler tag, I just click on thread titles and didn't know the difference. But honestly, if Glenn is not dead I will be pissed. Or if he doesn't die at least. There is just no fucking conceivable way he gets out of that. Everyone here knows I love to defy logic and be a fanboy of the show, but that would be too much. I have loved, loved, loved this season but that would be ridiculous.

The thing about this is that there have been a handful of "Glenn is gonna die" moments recently, each one at the hands of Nicholas and each time it looked increasingly more likely that Nicholas got him killed or killed him.

We've seen so many random things happen to save main characters from the chopping block in this show that anyone saying his escape from this would be inconceivable is drawing an odd line in the sand, imo.

At this point, two days later, 99.9% of the evidence points to Glenn not dying here. So I'm certain this argument will come to a head, but at this point we all have to accept that it's a brilliant TV trick to end that episode like that, bait the audience with a 90 minute Morgan: Origins story, then what is likely to be another non-linear episode starting back at Alexandria ending with the group re-convening and realizing Glenn isn't there, then most likely some rebuilding of Alexandria episodes with the Ricktator in charge and then and only then do we find out Glenn is alive around episode 6-7 when he returns to the camp with Jesus. That'll be how they raise our spirits just before "little pigs, little pigs" and will end the mid-season finale with "Dad?".

Maybe they'll come up with a way of making it halfway realistic. Everybody had decided the horn was the wolves intentionally distracting the zombies, and that didn't make any sense.

If we all could move on from the magic self-righting truck falling off the freeway in Atlanta last season, we can get over any visual inconsistencies that result in it seeming impossible for Glenn to scurry under that dumpster with Nicholas's shredded remains on top of him.

Looked at 3 minutes and turned it off, too pissed off to watch the repetition of a scene they have played out over & over. Such monumental BS: Are you fucking kidding me? WHY???

Their compatriot has fallen into a mass of walkers. Three of them are on the other side of the fence, armed with a sword and ample bullets (just spent a whole bunch of ammo shooting through the fence at walkers.) No rush, because they have all the effing time in the world to stand and stare at the fellow being devoured alive as he shrieks in agony. But, Oh. My. God. We sure as hell don't have the equipment or the time to waste on putting ONE FUCKING BULLET/KITANA STROKE into the poor bastards head to end his inescapable horror.

They have done this kind of shit repeatedly. It infuriates me. Pretend or Real, I'm never trusting these characters to have my back. Lousy companions.

That scene was pretty ridiculous. And I thought there were quite a few scenes like it that throughout the episode.

But I thought the episode tonight was not as big of a waste as I thought it would be. I thought it would be way worse than it was.

So, someone more learned than me will have to explain some stuff to me..."16 hours, and 19 on the floor"..."here is not here"...what does any of that mean?

ScreenShot013.jpg

apparently in the past episode when Rick found him in the town, those things were written on the wall. Some seem to think it has to do with his kid turning. As in 16 hours of fever then 19 hours dead before turning.

That's it. I'm done with this damned show. I've overlooked a LOT of ridiculousness, but this is too much. A clearing with sunflowers.....and they have a fucking wood thrush singing? Those are deep wood birds, man....I mean DEEP woods....you don't find a fucking wood thrush in a clearing...certainly nowhere with enough sun that sunflowers grow. Bullshit. I'm fucking out.

Not a lot of action and a bit long-winded and rambling, but I liked the episode. I thought the use of the doors/locks with Eastman/Morgan and then again with Morgan/Fucked-up-teeth-guy was nice, even if not particularly subtle. I do wish Eastman hadn't bitten it. One of the more interesting characters they've introduced lately.

"Fucked up teeth guy" we'll call him FUTG from now on, since he's going to kill someone since Morgan has turned into Richard Simmons
