I used to maintain that the only thing good that could happen in the USC - ND game was a zero - zero tie and twenty two broken legs (evenly distributed) So if we take ND and their eleven broken legs out of the equation, that leaves any USC game that ends in a zero - zero tie and causes eleven broken Trojans. That certainly opens up possibilities.
Outside of that my dislikes are a real mish-mash. Any team coached by Steve Spurrier gets a vote. Likewise Bill Parcells and Charlie the Little Tuna.
I love Whining VLloyd, may he remain at Michigan for another X years. XVLloyd. I could live with that.
I respect the SEC, but remember when they were the last bastion of "all white" athletics... my how times have changed, and improved.
My attitude toward Texas and Longhorn fans has changed for the better these last two years thanks to HighLonesome and E-horn.
I've lost all interest in baseball thanks in large part to George Steinbrenner and Rupert Murdock. They've turned the Reds and Pirates into minor league teams.
I haven't watched more than 15 minutes of NBA basketball since the Celtics - Sixers battles featuring Wilt and Russel. It bears no resemblance to the game I loved as a kid. Get rid of hand checking, palming the ball and traveling, play some defense and I might watch again.
So that leaves Miami.. Hurricanes and Dolphins. Anything connected to Dallas, the Dodgers, the Barry Bonds Giants, teams in the WAC, Big East and ACC that think they should get an automatic Big Bowl bid... fans at places like Duke, Georgetown and ND who think that admitting athletes equals student diversity. Anyone with the nerve to schedule all three service academies and then boast about their SOS.
All right James, you may remove the soap box.
