Check out what public defenders are paid, their average student loan debt, and their work load. You'll soon realize they don't do it for the money, or because it's an easy job, or because the task at hand will endear them to their neighbors. And if you think it's rough representing a drunk asshole that sucker-punched someone in a bar when the attorney already has about 40 other cases pending, think about how hard it would be to represent someone likely guilty of murder or child rape.

Simply helping the system go forward by allowing the prosecutor to finally prove his case helps get the asshole in jail. We want the procedure to be honored for the system to work. That is why they have trials. If all of the witness and familiy testimony supports the sucker punch version, then having a short trial is an easy thing to do, and to represent a crook is no biggy if due process allows us to throw their (Gray's) sorry asses in jail with a conviction.

HOLD ON there a minute buddy. Don't you realize that in America that a man is:

"Innocent Until Presumed Guilty?"

Honest to Christ, I got this from a great source named Tibor (err, Roger Moore, Guy Incognito, Valentine, ot whatever alias he might be using).

Hopefully somebody can dig up this old legal thread where Captain "Ti-Boner" made the absolute most idiotic post in the history of BP.

Anyway, from where I'm sitting, I hope to hell that the judge that hears this case has a heart. Hey, "Boys will be boys" right. I say this dilweed deserves NO jail time at all, not a single second. In a perfect world, this "presumed guilty" individual will be sentenced to absolute freedom. No fines, no Court Costs, no nothing. His only punishment will be to be a "guest" at the TOSU v. Navy Game on 9/5/09. Free 50 yard-line ticket to the game, but on one condition. He MUST parade around the "Shoe" from 9:00am-1:00pm the day of the game, kinda like Bruce Willis in the "Die-Hard" movie with a sign around his neck that read's:

"I'm the a.s.s.h.o.l.e. that suckerpunched Tyler Moeller"

Justice should be swift. In this scenario, it WILL be for this M......F'er!
