Even AFTER losing Fields for a game plus 3 or 4 starters on defense? No I doubt it and I don’t think you believe that either.

First of all.....the kid they have to backup sunshine is pretty fucking good, so I'm not giving them a pass there. And no, Ohio State doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when we lose a game. Exhibit A of that is when we DON'T fucking lose a game and are lucky to be 4th. Let's talk about how shitty Ohio State's defense is......while we ignore everybody else in the CFP era. Is anybody docking Bama for having a crap D? How the shit did LSU overtake us last year with that average defense, when our D was great from start to finish? Why does Oklahoma get a pass for garbage D? Because nobody expects it of them?
Apply the same criticisms to all the teams. We seem to be the only one held to the standard of having to have a great defense without ever playing a close game.

The thought is we are a pro team playing in a semi pro league. Of course tOSU wins. Because of that they use history to define us and they think 2014 was an anomaly not that tOSU was best team. It will be that way forever we can’t change the narrative. Until we beat Clemson and Alabama in the same year.

What about the other starters on defense Clemson was missing?
When has OSU lost a game when missing a starting QB and a chunk of the starting defense?
So it's clear you're pretty much going to ignore the entire set of circumstances as to why this happened while gripping your tin foil hat, so I'll leave this alone.
So your points regarding LSU and Oklahoma are valid and I was right there with you during those years. Regarding Alabama though...are you forgetting they've beaten two teams that are, at worst, comparable to Indiana by double digits this year? What pass are they getting?
I mean there are very valid reasons why the Buckeyes are ranked where they are so I don't really understand all the consternation. Maybe it's because I didn't actually watch the CFP rankings live and didn't hear their reasoning. I just looked at the rankings and came to my own conclusions.

If Ohio State needs style points in order to impress the CFP Committee, then I pity the fools on the rest of the Buckeyes' schedule.

I might be a little upset about that..the same message today about CFP etc should have been given week 1. Something like this if we are the Rock Stars let’s make every performance memorable in this short season.

There is a valid reason to rank them behind Clemson. Clemson would beat us if we played today. But that's an eye test bullshit reasoning that doesn't get applied to Ohio State vs ND, who we'd beat today. Or fuck.....if they're so in love with Clemson to the point where losses don't even count, rank them ahead of ND. That's essentially what they're (and you're) saying......that loss didn't count. So rank it that way or don't But you can't pick and choose which way you're ranking each team.
Bama - won all their games, but only scored 38 on shitty Missouri and let shitty Mississippi put up 48 in a game that was much closer than the final score says. Any doubt in their minds? Nope...and there shouldn't be. Eye test.
ND - won all their games, biggest win of the season.....but it doesn't really count, bc poor wittle Clemson didn't have some starters. Not eye test.
Clemson - lost a game. Struggled with BC. But the loss doesn't count and they have studs. Garbage schedule? Who cares. Eye test.
Ohio State - won all their games. Offense is good enough to hang with anybody, defense is bad enough to let anybody hang. Star studded classes.....but who cares? They don't win their games by 83 points.
Give me consistency, then I'll let you rank them 4th. The same criteria that keeps us at 4 should have Clemson at 1.....subjective bullshit.

Alabama's defense gave up 647 yards, 379 through the air, and 48 points to Ole Miss (3-4) in a 15 point win.
Alabama gave up 544 yards, 435 of which came though the air, to Texas A&M
Alabama gave up 564 yards, 414 of which came through the air, to Georgia... starting a former walk-on at QB, mind you.
Ohio State just gave up 490 yards, 491 of which came though the air, to a top 10 Indiana.
The CFP panelists are supposed to be watching the games as should realize this. Next question.
