One thing I’ve learned in the last 15 years or so of message board posting is that the teet-sucking SEC middle-dwellers just have a ridiculous ungrounded rationale that their teams and traditions are better than everyone else, so SEC SEC SEC.

I can see why Texas A&M wanted to throw their hat in the ring with the likes of Tennessee and Auburn. Bama, LSU, Florida and to a lesser degree UGA have earned the right to bark over the last 20 years. Everyone else are SEC big-dick hangers-on.

Just heard a talking head use "eye test" at least a half dozen times. Take a guess which school he was talking about. :roll1:

If you have to keep saying "eye test" it tells me you can't articulate a solid reason for your opinion, and/or the stated criteria contradict your feelz. It's basically: "Just look at them!"

The disingenuous part of citing "eye test" is that I don't know how anyone can conclude Ohio State isn't the best team in the country by "eye test." Clemson certainly has built a case since that North Carolina game, but between the two Ohio State's resume is far better and Ohio State has been consistently dominant over a longer stretch.

LSU, Bama, and Oklahoma have legit issues on defense, and Georgia has issues on offense. They all fail the "eye test" in some manner.

If they are going by strictly the eye test some of those so called expert talking heads need prescription glasses.....

So do you think having OSU #1 is the committee hedging that LSU beats UGA and they can slide in Bama in at 4 and keep LSU #2 so they don't they don't make the collective public vomit over a LSU / (Tua-less) Bama rematch in the first round?

Seems like ESPN talking heads lobbying for Bama to get in over P12 and B12 champs.

Who knows?

I do think they want avoid rematches and would like OSU and someone else to go out to Arizona while the SEC/ACC game is in ATL. That just makes too much sense not to happen.

So my bold prediction is either OSU wins out and is the #1 or loses one and is the #4 seed.

Either way, it's Arizona.
