The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

As I said, they would vaunt the winner of the LSU Florida game ahead of Ohio State. Both teams have played Mickey Mouse schedules.
I don't have a problem with LSU being ahead of tOSU based on opponents - Florida and Texas are better than Cincy, and the wins over Nebraska and Sparty look a little less impressive after yesterday. I just hope that the credit is given if the Buckeyes are still undefeated after Wiscy. Of course, right after that, the Bama-LSU winner will go to #1 if they're still undefeated.

I'm good with that approach.
But then Clemson and Bama should be behind us. Our schedule hasn't been the hardest... but... it's more than either of them. Voters kept Aggy in the rankings until this week just so they could say Bama played somebody.

Regardless, we'll have our chance to end strong. If we beat Wiscy twice, they'll drop them out of the top15... and then they'll pummel one of these schools in an away bowl game.

I have no issue with the winner of that Bama/LSU game being #1 and, most likely, in the playoffs as the SEC champ.

Not that it matters but my heartburn is with the cries for the loser, UGA and/or UF to be in the playoff.

If OSU didn't get the benefit of the doubt in '15 as defending champs with 1 good loss and the most talented team then fuck anyone else.

If Bama loses the iron bowl or SECCG they’ll be the 1 loss team most likely to still make the CFP. Just like 2017...

LSU jumped us solely because they beat a team ranked two spots below them--at home--by two TDs, in a game that was dead even for a half. I wonder if the polls will return the favor and jump us back over LSU once we beat two teams ranked two spots below us by two TDs (or more), even if LSU is #1. Somehow I doubt it.

Now, some folks may claim that it'll get sorted out once LSU plays Alabama and one of them thus loses. Still, if LSU loses a very close game at Alabama--maybe even in OT--and that's their only loss, they will get huge credit for beating a clearly-overrated then-#9 Texas team, then-#7 Florida, and current-#11 Auburn, along with the "moral victory" at Alabama. Even if we were to run the regular season table and then win the B1G CCG, there will be those who claim that LSU is better because the ratings-inflated schedule they played, and also of course, SEC.

i’m pretty sure UGA’s loss all but eliminates any chance of SEC getting two in.

i mean maybe if enough crazy shit (like 2007 level crazy) happens it could maybe happen.

it happened during your bye week.
we got jumped during ours too.

but i do think that LSU was being held back because we really haven’t played a defense with even half a pulse prior to last night.

hanging 42 and running ball as well as we did on a pretty good gator front 7 caught a few eyeballs that we just may be for real this year.

i am shocked that the AP jumped us over Clemson. I agree we’ve looked better so far, just still surprised it happened. p

You sure? UF or UGA run the table and win SEC... they're in.
If Bama has 1 loss, they're in. Doesn't matter how or the circumstances.
They finished 3rd last year, and went ... they literally lost their way into the Playoffs by dodging the CCG.
