The Polls (AP, Coaches, & CFP, etc.)

Georgia had to play a CCG. I still think they were one of the top four teams in the nation and they played like it. Without that CCG, they would have been in the playoffs. Oklahoma had to win a CCG to get in and could easily have been dropped if the Bucks had pounded NW. Ohio State won their division by stomping a Michigan team that was within a touchdown of ND, then won a CCG by beating by 21 points a NW team that lost to ND by only 10.

I don't get the logic of Georgia "being one of the 4 best" because "THEY PLAYED ALABAMA CLOSE!!11!!" they gagged hard against Alabama, a top team doesnt choke a game away like that. They also got clobbered by a terribly mediocre LSU team (dont care about their ranking or record, they are nothing better than average from the "eye test")

They obviously weren't playing Georgia football in that game so they get a pass on this loss like Stanford did a few years ago.

It's called the "SEC rule". Don't you SEC, bro? They all get a freebie. That one doesn't really count bc they played a "perceived" good team. Wiped off the books.

Indeed. Otherwise, Notre Dame would be 100% ACC instead of 98% and there'd be one more CFP spot...which, of course, would go to Georgia. :ohbrother:

Corporate ties determine who the halftime act of the Super Bowl will be. Athletes and other endorsers are constantly aware of what they are allowed to say and where they can say it.

I wonder why it is so hard for CFB fans to see the Disney vs Fox situation for what it is?

Problem is, this year more than any the contenders all have serious flaws. ND, Clemson, and to a lesser extent Alabama have joke schedules. The Big 12 defenses that Okie crushed are just cringe worthy. Meanwhile we have to run a gauntlet in the toughest division in football, getting banged up every week against real opponents.

Maryland. Rutgers. Indiana. Sparty. Yeah, real murderer's row right there.
