The Ohio State University Marching Band (TBDBITL)

Take them to the bank and more Jon. I do not know why anyone else was disciplined if there was such wrongdoing done by members of TBDITL.

Fired band director Jonathan Waters has filed a federal lawsuit today to fight his dismissal from Ohio State University, his lawyers are announcing in a news conference this afternoon. Jim Petro, former Ohio attorney general and former chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents has joined the legal team backing Waters. Waters is seeking his job back and at least $1 million in damages. “Despite numerous efforts by fired OSU Band Director Jon Waters to resolve his issues with Ohio State University without legal proceedings, today a lawsuit will be filed against individuals and the university,” according to an earlier news release.

You don't find many $150k jobs in the HS/College band biz. More important, you don't find many jobs after being fired over Title IX issues. I'm guessing he's more concerned with damages.

I'm not one who thinks Title IX is a bad idea, but this looks to me to be a misplaced useage. Waters must have pissed someone off and I haven't seen the name of the former Title IX compliance officer in anything lately.

I disagree with that portion of your post because I really think that he wants to be the director of The Ohio State University Marching Band. I know that that is very unlikely but I think that is probably in his sole reason for taking this to trial.
