The Masters (Official Thread)

Ha ha right, like what? Nothing on my TV that would supplant the Masters, especially tomorrow afternoon.

I get it. It's a hell of a display by people who have spent a lifetime mastering a difficult quirky skill. It's just not a sport any more than chess or that guy on the old Ed Sullivan show who could keep nine plates spinning on sticks are sports. Difficult skills, yes. But not sports. Point in case. When these two pictures were taken these two were among the best in the world at this activity.

Clearly not athletes engaged in what is clearly not a sport.

Different world today. And having played the sport for over 50 years, I’d put up the stress, stamina, skill, and cerebral nature of it over many other sports.
