The Many Troubles of Marcus Vick (merged)

My opinion is that Beamer wasnt going to do much more than a few games so the Prez took initiative.

You're exactly right.

The problem is that if and when Vick enters the draft, he will get drafted because he is a "Vick." This world is filled with second chances, and for athletes it is filled with many more chances than the average person.

As for Virginia Tech, I still can't stand VT fans, but I will say the university has gained some of my respect today. They need to show that there will be no toleration for stuff like this, and that you need to learn from your mistakes.

I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up going to a Division II school so he can get drafted next year.

Finally the shithead got what he deserved. You can only screw up so much before the whole nation calls for your head, then Va Tech had no choice but to expell him.

I hope this ruins his career, I hate people like him that think they are above the law, and lie about everything to make it worst.

The fact that he cant keep his ass out of trouble for more than four days will raise a red flag with most teams, however, someone will take a chance on him, it does derail his career though, he will have to make a big jump to rebound from this.

Unfortunately, he's a junior and is eligible for the draft, and some team will take a flyer on him...thus, he'll still make a ton more money than what his punk ass is worth.

Actually the non 1st round money isn't shit and is completely unguaranteed. With his off the field stuff he's likely a FA or 7th rounder who gets cut in camp and heads off to NFL Europe.

I see no chance of NFL success for him strictly based on his ON the field performance. He gets absolutely worked by good college defenses and isn't as mobile as his brother.

Its all a moot point anyway, as we have seen with MoC and others once a pattern like this is established they just can't ever stop. He'll fuck his life up good style here shortly and then get to see what its like without football to bail his ass out.

I predict more total months served than total yards gained in his future.

Speaking of MoC, wasn't his "guaranteed" contract that he turned down worth about 300k? And he was drafted in the 3rd round, so if Marcus doesn't go in the first 2, he doesn't get shit...comparatively speaking, I mean.
