THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

Because if I said what I really want to say I'd get banned. It's a pressure release.

The best payback, assuming you’re not on the team and can take it out on the field next year, it to be holding good seats at Lucas Oil and gouge the fuck out of them when they rush to buy seats.

Not that the extra couple grand profits from last year and likely this year make it all better, but it certainly helps.

I don't really follow basketball, but it seems to me there is a big difference between the NCAA tournament and the 4 team college football playoff. I really can't understand how anyone can sit around and say they don't want their team to have a chance to win a championship if it is a possibility.

This is an argument I've heard so many times on this forum after a not so close loss.

Our team performed badly, therefore we exposed our true self, leadership, talent, etc.. So, why watch it all over again only to get embarrassed again?

Our team should strive to be the best and despite a loss, you should always go for the gold. There's an outside chance we are well matched with the team in the championship. Why wouldn't you want your team to get to the top?

I see points in both of these arguments. It's why I often flip flop in responses. There's also outliers like I don't want Alabama in (if it comes to that). I guess we just wait and see.... LOL if Purdue or North Cacalaka become champions (esp both) that would be hilarious. And for those who don't want to go to the playoffs, you're good.

I don’t understand why they didn’t stick with Chip and the run game. He was playing great and then it completely stopped.
Seems like Day has an identity crisis on offense and couldn’t decide whether to be a passing team or a rushing team, especially in short yardage. Or he refused to fully accept they may be a rushing team today. Result was a random-play-generator type of gameplan. No continuity or plan for what they wanted to accomplish.

IF I start watching soccer it will mean I’ve officially hit Rock Bottom.

No shit. Soccer is the most boring sport ever. Even a fleeting want for the US to do well doesn't mean I'm going to sit and watch people flop around for 90 minutes.

I wouldn't be there anyway. I still got kids in travel sports

This is why he absolutely must give up the play calling duties and let someone else establish the identity - whatever it is - and then call plays in-game to play to that tendency.

I just don't understand the conservative play calling. I am no coach, but we have supposedly one of the most potent offenses in the nation, yet, we aren't being aggressive.
Honestly I believe its because Stroud was frozen up and Day knew it. Stroud was given a lot of aggressive play calls if you watch the tape ( I don't recommend that for your health ) and he just stood there like a statue. The only aggressive throw he made all day was the TD to Harrison. He actually threw him open and let it rip. All game long McCarthy was giving his receivers a chance. But MHJR isn't good enough to give a chance I guess.

Also had a linebacker at RB. I just don't understand the no Hayden approach. He was great the week before.

Horseshit. The MHJR play happened because scUM blitzed one of their deep safeties and left MH 1 on 1.

The rest of the game, with very little variability, was a two-deep zone. IT was not until desperation time that the middle of the field was exploited. IT was sideline throws all game long.

Stroud won't force balls into coverage. IT's a blessing and a curse. But no one was open and most were bracketed.

So your saying we should have the run crossing routes that put Day and Olave on the scene?

Rooting for TCU myself.. watching them crush ISU

I think if it comes down to it I will probably do the same. The only thing I have against TCU is their whining. Whining about not being in the Top 4 for so long and whining in 2013-14 about not getting picked over Ohio State..... Who ULTIMATELY WON THE FUCKING NC! Sorry. Got a little worked up there.

But, yes, their season has reminded me of some of our really great seasons in the past. Very exciting games but TCU seems to always find a way to win. I was incredibly skeptical they had a D at all. But then watched them play Texas (should've won an award for getting thru that one). Granted it's not like Texas is some juggernaut (Ewers lol) but they did show us something in the form of a strong-ish D.

So yeah, I'm on board with the Christians.

Yeah they are whiny.. but also doing very well. If it means keeping SEC from another title I am for it.
