THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

Days offense seems predicated on the big play. He should have been able to throw 10 yard routes on them down the field the whole game but that's not what Day wants and refuses to let that go and do what is needed

Agreed! You would think a coach so focused on how important big plays are too an offense might recognize that the same is true for the opponent and make it a point NOT to give them up.

Fuck the fucking playoffs.

This team has absolutely ZERO ability to deal with adversity and ZERO reason to be in the playoffs.

I think they can deal with adversity, they just can't consistently make plays. You get away with it against mediocre teams, but not really good ones.

The offense has broken down multiple times in the last two seasons. Some of that due to injury, but more due to the inability to consistently get in rhythm and score in the RZ. JSN covered up some of that, along with Olave and Wilson, but now they have none and it's clear they can't consistently get it done against solid defenses.

Day has to make changes in the offseason, whether it's schematic, coaching, or both.

I kinda disagree. They played fairly tough. Just stubborn as fuck defensive play calling gave up 5 gargantuan plays that embarrassed OSU nation.

As for the offense. For one we used our 5th or 6th string RB most of the game, and the QB looked like a deer in the headlights. Honestly though the OLine opened alot of holes that a healthy back could have had a huge game with.

I just can't rap my head around 5 ts over 40yds. That's shit a division 2 school gives up to a Alabama.
I don't blame Knowles he adjusted they went 14 plays 8 mins and he's like fuck it. We'll die by aggression. Get 3 and ours or give up the big play and get ball back to O. The O let them down by not scoring in a shootout like they should.

I hate Harblow as much as the next Buckeye but give the Devil his due. The Skunkbears played disciplined, mostly mistake free fundamental football and just outclassed Ohio State today. They didn't do anything spectacular, they just didn't shoot themselves in the foot over and over like the Buckeyes did. Ryan Day is going to have to learn it takes more then just talent to win big games. You need a game plan and if something isn't working you need to adjust and go to plan B. Doing the same thing over and over hoping eventually it will work isn't a game plan, it's a recipe for disaster.

Ok so now that is over I see Clemson actually lost today.....................So there seems to be 2 road blocks to making the playoffs.

Need USC to lose a game hopefully tonight vs ND.

Need Georgia to beat LSU.

----------------------------------------

Could still maybe get in if TCU lost. Dang now I wish TCU had lost last week I was rooting for them to win because I wanted them to be #3 seed vs us as #2 in the playoffs.

----------------------------------

So do you believe in miracles ??????????

Just. Stop.

We're not getting in, don't deserve to get in, and I really don't need to be embarrassed in a semifinal to know it.

Day does not have what it takes to make this team tough. Sorry, but it is glaringly apparent.

I honestly thought he did. But I think he's just been riding the coattails of Urban and his recruits. Such a young coach... I'm not sure he was ready for such a big stage.

Maybe I'm wrong and he still has it in him. I'm not sure if analyzing his place at OSU is the best time after a Xichigan loss, though.

It's very hard to say because he got us to the national championship and we actually scored touchdowns (I mean... It needed to be said). That was against one of the best Alabama teams. NFL caliber.

Then again, how much of that was Day?

Either way, that sure did suck.

Called this team soft, said that the O plays scared all season, then got zapped over it. Guess what? I saw this all year. Don't like to hear the truth, don't read my posts. Been a fan since going to Woody's games. Still a fan. But I saw what I saw, and here today is exactly what I thought would happen. Even that ^*@^@^ UN saw it and said it.
Same. I was really told to shut up about my worries regarding this game here.

Now I understand why I was so over the top. I thought we'd win because I am a Homer but I also stated Michigan could win this game.

As for the out come...

We got beat by 3 scores at home to a team who didn't have their best offensive and defensive player.

This is not a heat of the moment thing but I hope Ryan Day goes to the NFL.
