THE GAME: ttun @ tOSU, Sat Nov 26, 12pm, FOX

We were out coached and out played. Harbaugh took away the long ball and we couldn’t produce on the run when it counted. Non-running QB and failure to adjust. This one rests on Day. I don’t know what the secret sauce is we need but we need something. Too talented to get disappointed like this. WR screens have t worked all year , yet here we are calling them.

Ok so now that is over I see Clemson actually lost today.....................So there seems to be 2 road blocks to making the playoffs.

Need USC to lose a game hopefully tonight vs ND.

Need Georgia to beat LSU.

----------------------------------------

Could still maybe get in if TCU lost. Dang now I wish TCU had lost last week I was rooting for them to win because I wanted them to be #3 seed vs us as #2 in the playoffs.

----------------------------------

So do you believe in miracles ??????????
Screw the playoffs you lost the one game that mattered period

But what if they are playing indoors? Surely that will fix all of the problems with this team!

anyone blaming the weather for last years loss was a idiot anyway. Stroud still carved them up a good amount. It was the same egg laying in the 2nd half though.

The opposite of the problem that Texas has. Ohio State--going back to Woody--has consciously not cultivated big cigars who could influence the program. It's the culture of the program in the opposite way that the influencers and their ranches are at Texas Instead, they used the Buckeye Club to develop thousands and thousands of 5 figure donors who ultimately had no power. They choose to hold back their money, and the only thing matters is they can't buy season tickets anymore. There literally is no one on the outside who can call up Johnson and Smith and tighten the screws.

Woody's famous quote was that you have boosters who'll buy you a Cadillac and the next thing you know they're buying you the tank of gas to get out of town.
I wouldn’t use Texas as an example of whom we should emulate when it comes to hiring coaches. Back in 2012, literally anyone would’ve hired Udban. That was a no brainer. And Urban hired Day. He basically named him as his successor. It seems like keeping Marotti and Pantoni and the rest of the gang together was the right thing to do.

The luster is wearing off of Day, though. It’s weird because he was both the first OSU coach to beat Clemson but also the first OSU coach to lose to Oregon. Now he has a losing record against Michigan (because they were gutless pussies in 2020). I was never thrilled about having a first time head coach learn on the job here but things started off about as well as could be expected. But this is Ohio State and we should have one of the best defenses in the country and a stout running game. We don’t have either.

Technically, he could come clos

Meyer ain't coming back...ever. University politics and public relations make that as likely as Tressel having been interviewed for the Presidency when it came open. It will never happen. Johnson and the Board and Wexner, Ong and Lowery et al will never, ever allow it.

Agree he’s not coming back. Point is more about what fans value most.

Day does not have what it takes to make this team tough. Sorry, but it is glaringly apparent.
I kinda disagree. They played fairly tough. Just stubborn as fuck defensive play calling gave up 5 gargantuan plays that embarrassed OSU nation.

As for the offense. For one we used our 5th or 6th string RB most of the game, and the QB looked like a deer in the headlights. Honestly thought the OLine opened alot of holes that a healthy back could have had a huge game with.

I just can't rap my head around 5 ts over 40yds. That's shit a division 2 school gives up to a Alabama.

Days offense seems predicated on the big play. He should have been able to throw 10 yard routes on them down the field the whole game but that's not what Day wants and refuses to let that go and do what is needed

I’ve seen 3 so. But, yep you got to by Michigan I agree. I don’t see Luke getting us far in the playoffs though. Michigan won’t go anywhere in the playoffs.

It really depends on your goals. Beating scUM means more to me. National Titles are great obviously, but CFB is so cyclic it's a separate goal entirely.

But what if they are playing indoors? Surely that will fix all of the problems with this team!

Will Day be making the trip? Knowles as well? That's the problem with this team. Gene won't change anything so we get to see a repeat next November.

I hear you, but have to disagree. Day doesn't resonate toughness, and teams reflect their HC.
