Explain why coaches getting paid 6 or 7 figures should have to subject their reviews to the Cooper years? The Cooper years didn’t make sense during the Cooper years, nor do they now. I remember the Cooper years. Tressel and Urban didn’t get us where we are by suggesting we just live with the Cooper years.

I’m not mad just because it was due. Again Ohio State has been INCREDIBLY fortunate on this current run we were on and it had to end sometime. Urban got a TON of breaks that went his way during rivalry (2013, 2016, 2017) with easily losable games. Again even Saban hasn’t smashed Auburn the way we’ve smashed SCUM over a decade. The bill had to come due eventually.

i can see the comparison of a great OSU team losing to a good Michigan team. OSU was clearly great on offense, and suspect on defense. This team was never going to be “great” until they got the defense figured out, but they are still figuring.

Do you guys think Day is emphasizing the rivalry to the same extent as Tressel and Urban? Maybe he is but I haven't really picked up on it. I know he says he is but...

Tressel and Urban understood the rivalry. Day is from New Hampshire and didn't really have any connections before coming here a few years ago. I know it's only his first loss but I was a little concerned with the noticeable lack of energy from the team early on. Usually guys are getting in fights or scrums from the first kickoff. This time scum came out with juice and then jawed with our guys at half time. Felt like we were flat.

We have 3 first round picks at WR (2 will gone next year). A heisman trophy caliber QB. Great RB. Despite the performance today we have some solid o-linemen. I get that we don't have players on defense but it's not a complete rebuilding year with those players on O

On the defensive side of the ball any amount of improvement is well ….. improvement
