Game Thread THE GAME, tOSU at TSUN, Sat Nov 26th, Noon ET, ABC/ESPN

Honestly, I had a feeling the Buckeyes were going to get it handed to them going into the game today. Those kids played as hard as they could and never gave up. The fact that tsun only won by 6 is a testament to how the good guys did not quit. It was a loss, and that sucks, but I am really proud of our guys. They never gave up and made it a game until the very last minute. It was just tsun's year. Hope those weenies enjoy this win, because I have a feeling another long Buckeye win streak lies ahead in this rivalry.

The third week in a row we have been down by 6 with the ball and need to run a 2 minute offense. We go 0-3 in those games, but at least scored in one.

My problem is this...how many times does this need to happen until you prepare your team for this situation. Last week Braxton look confused, and the team looked like they haven't ever practiced a 2 minute drill.

So when we are put in the same position this year I'm thinking...okay we HAD to practice this. No we didn't. It was awful. 2 minutes and 1 time out. We use the time out in the stupidest time possible. And even worse, we have a QB who is just chucking it deep when we have enough time for 10 to 15 yard passes. Then...on 3rd and 5 we spike the ball? It looked to me that Fickell was giving the signal to hurry to the line and run a play...I didn't see him giving the spike the ball sign. But in any case...HOW DO YOU SPIKE THE BALL THERE?!? Awful awful awful decision. We looked so confused. Like it was the first time we have ever needed to score to win a game. Maybe it's because we are young, but it's the last game of the season. You should have enough poise to handle this situation...maybe that just rubs off from the coaches. Not sure.

What I am sure of is we had this one. The refs fucked it up. That was the worst reversal of a TD I've ever seen. Awful. Both camera angles were off...he obviously broke the plane. So after the bad call, we end up getting the ball back down 6...a gift. And we don't take it. It was ours to take, and we didn't take it. And that makes me sick. And it's sad too how TERRIBLE Michigan's defense played. Guys were open ALL DAY. Braxton did a good job finding the open guy, but his accuracy needs to improve drastically!

There are no moral victories in THIS game. There is no "at least they didn't give up" or "at least they played hard". Screw that...it's Ohio State/Michigan. Who wouldn't play hard all game? I'm not going to complement a team for doing something they SHOULD do.

We lost the last 3 games of the season. Unacceptable. Sorry...it's the harsh truth.

I know he missed wide open guys for TDs, but I really can't put one ounce of blame on Braxton, everyone who puts on him, is well, not smart....if the defense haden't given up 40 pts, he woudn't have had to do what he did do

The defense gave up those points, the problem is if he hits 1 of those throws we win. Not bashing here but all we have to do is connect once and we are celebrating instead of taking a loss to a team that was NOT better than us.

Right. But take solace in the fact that in order to win they had to face a Buckeye team that is the most dysfunctional in their history. They did it against a team of freshmen and sophomores that were banged up. They did it against a team with pretty much 0 senior leadership. They did it against one of the worst offensive coaching staffs that I've seen.

But they did it. By 6. Congrats.

FWIW, if Miller connects with Posey on that pass, I have zero confidence that UM wouldn't march down the field for a winning field goal. They would have had 1:30 and 3 timeouts. :(

Put them in a bowl game with Alabama (assuming Okie State beats OU and vaults them). Saban will eat Hoke alive.

Yes, please. I desperately want to see that.
