THE GAME, tOSU at tCun, Sat. 11/25, 12pm ET, FOX

I think they are implying because they'll be on a different team
FWIW I don't see either one going anywhere.....but we'll see.

Day bailing would be an all-timer of a move on his part. I don't think we've seen anything in his personality to think it's remotely possible other than to the NFL.
Wait for about half time of the spring game....you think this fanbase is fragile. I think it's absurdly gullible.
The way I took his comment was he is seeing it now. I want to know where. Otherwise it's just nonsense.

So accept that kind of big game performance because no one has a guaranteed better option?

(P.S> even if I came up with a name, the same people would sprain a thumb saying he wasn't guaranteed better so he was invalid)

People who want to keep pretending the emperor is wearing clothes can do so, just don't ask me to stand there and let him rub his bare ass in my face while you guys are towing the line.
Honestly, I don't think Day really has to go. What HE has to something that he will probably never do.......hire a proven OC. Get rid of Fleming and any other dead weight on the staff, make Laurinaitis a full time coach Knowles has made huge improvement with the D, but several times today looked just like the same old issues. Reserving judgement on him. Day can become more of a CEO type coach. But as I said, I doubt his ego will ever let him do it.

Here's my crackpot analysis now that I've had a little time to breathe:

- We need more nastiness on the OL and depth on the DL. Those are two areas we were glaringly behind ttun today.
- Ryan Day needs to find a play caller. I've never been a fan of a HC being to into one side of the ball on gameday. He needs to trust someone to take that off his plate and be a CEO ala Tress/Urban
- I was a little harsh on Knowles earlier when the D couldn't get off the field on their GW drive. The D has been excellent overall this year and played well enough to win today.
- Back to Day's playcalling...it can be brilliant at times, but far too often in big games he turtles when the situation requires a stone cold killer.
- I like Kyle McCord. I'm sure he's a terrific kid and he's a pretty decent QB. But, and this is just my feeling watching him the last 12 weeks, I'm not sure he has the "it" factor it takes to win this kind of game. He's a sizeable dopoff from Haskins, Fields, and Stroud, talent-wise.

Next year will be, probably, the defining year of the Day era when it comes to The Game. It's in Columbus, their roster will be gutted of the guys that beat us 3 straight, and they could be under heavy sanctions.

We lost the "they cheated" get outta jail card today. There's no good excuse for losing this one. None.

I do not think Day has the assassin mentality JT or Urban did wrt The Game. He says all the right things, but you are what your record says you are, and he's wearing 3 straight L's as of right now. Time to nut up and fix it or get the hell on.
I’m not buying the idea that A) Michigan is going to be gutted when these seniors leave. B) that the ncaa is going to do anything that keeps recruits and portal folks from heading to Ann Arbor.

I am of the opinion that we will end up in a bowl game against Alabama and will not have Harrison, Egbuka, and Henderson.

You can call it emporer wearing clothes. I’m just asking what the alternative is. I’m not a die hard Day fan here. He’s definitely on my hot seat if he can’t win next year’s Game.

But he’s checked about every other box. Yes. He’s 0-5 for winning a NC (barring some crazy chaos this year). Only Woody did better in that department and that was before my time.

Yeah he’s 1-3 in the Game. Feels like 2-3 to me after 2020. He absolutely needs to turn it around. 1-4 is enough for me to have this conversation. But to have it today just seems premature based on his statistically being the best coach in the country by a number of measures.

Just my two cents. I don’t think he is best coach walking the face of the earth. But don’t see us getting better with any reasonably obtainable coach.

I just told my husband I wanted to shoot my gun at an M target in our backyard and was told to calm the F down. F that and F him!!!!!!

I knew telling a woman to "calm the F down" never works. Just don't shoot him.

Losing this game sucks, though. Really sucks.

Oh I agree ... I listed out about 30 pages ago what should happen but we'll see to recap
Flemming - Fired
LJSr - retired
Day as play caller - Fired
Knowles - I don't know .... but this sudo 3-3-5 isn't working.... but changing defensive schemes after 2 years is a risk....

Probably goes to the pros, but yes please!!
Day maybe, McCord would have to be on one....
