Game Thread THE GAME, 11/25/17 @ 12:00 ET (FOX)

Can we get something out of the way.

Meyer is the best overall coach in the B10. It is not even close or worth debating.

I am a HUGE MSU fan and I might say that Dantonio can out game plan or motivate Meyer at times but the record and overall success is obvious. And yes recruiting is part of the game and another way you measure a coach.

Where things get funny is discussing the overall rank of B10 coaches:

Meyer
Dantonio - MSU
Fitzgerald - NW
Ferentz- Iowa
Chryst - Wisc
Franklin - Peddy State

Literally I would not put Hairball in the top 5 in the conference. And definitely not above the 3 at the top I have.

His finishes have gotten worse since he has gotten in the B10. One could say that as he has gotten "his guys" in place the product on the field has gotten worse. In a word he SUCKS. Lots of flash but zero substance. Come big games his cojones become tiny little specs of sand.

Complacent. You've lost 5 straight and what, 12 out of 13?, and you start coasting IN THE FIRST QUARTER. The DFBIA cheers for the DTIA
I don't believe that they actually started "coasting" after the first quarter, or at any other time in the game. That's just making the typical excuse that weak-but-boastful boys make, and it's fear talking more than anything else.

"I would have won if I'd tried."
"I didn't even study for that exam."

So, funny story exiting the pig house on Saturday after the game. The Fox mobile studio was maybe 100 feet away from the exit we went out. There were a bunch of them standing behind trying to get on camera. They started singing that God forsaken fight song... the one that talks about victors? Right? So, anyhow, after they get done signing, I yelled, "Do you even think about the words in that song? O-H!" Then the rest of the S&G around responded as expected.

DFBIA for sure. The last thing I'd want to sing after having it handed to me (again) would be a song about hailing victors...

Coach Brohm at Purdue is working miracles.

While I believe you're probably right - that it's nothing more than excuse making - if I heard a Buckeye player say they had decided the game was in the bag in the first quarter of a game against your rival, and a team you haven't beaten since before you were enrolled... and only 2 times since 2001... I'd be seriously questioning not only those players but the coaching staff that allowed that to happen. Which is to say, if O'Korn is telling the truth, or stating a fact, then it's just as bad, if not worse, for them.

I agree: actually not trying in a game like that would be worse than falsely claiming, like a baby, that you didn't "really" try.

I guess I will put this in this thread. Driving here in Charlotte on I-485 (same as I-270 in C-Bus) and this car comes up besides me and then slows down to match my speed. A young lady is driving and looks over and then gives me the OH sign. She must have seen my license plate and alumni sticker. I ask you in what other university in the world can you be driving over 500 miles from campus and a random person comes up to you and identifies them selves (such as shouting OH) much less driving at 70 miles an hour on the freeway and gives the OH sign. Kind of neat.....GO BUCKS!!!!:io:
