Game Thread THE GAME: #1 Ohio State 42, #2 Michigan 39 (11/18/06)

I think Michigan is a tough damned team this year. After watching the Penn State game I am concerned about them. IF we are able to beat them then we deserve to go to the national championship game. IF the bastards are able to beat us, then they deserve it too.

We normally only move a game thread into the main forum on game week.

I'm making an exception to allow all of the TSUN discussion to stay in this thread. The anticipation for The Game this year will roar unabated for the next month, and in order to avoid all sorts of threads popping up, I've moved this thread onto the Main board.

But let's give attention to the actual opponent each week.

Woodley and Branch are All-Americans, and Biggs and Taylor are both locks for the All-Big-Ten team.
Uh, if you say so. They are outstanding up front, but there are a few other players in this conference...

Maybe you've heard of these guys named Pitcock & Gholston, who have logged 12 sacks? Patterson's not bad either.

Where did I mention first team DL in the previous post? I could've sworn I said All-Big-Ten. That would mean either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

EDIT: But im sure you would know what I meant more than me...

Woodly and Branch are good players. We've played them before. Have not seen very much of Biggs or Taylor to make a judgement. Knowing that we performed very well two years in a row against them and against a very talent Texas DL, we have every reason to be confident about this. There's no need to place the p*ssy on the pedestal, especially when you have dominated them before.

My dream year, as I have written over the years, is for TSUN to enter The Game undefeated and #2 and for #1 Ohio State to blow their doors off. I want The Game to be for the national championship every year. I want both teams to win their bowl games. I want people all around the country to recognize The Game as the greatest rivalry in all of sports. I want people in Michigan to wonder, year in and year out, "what if?".

:oh: :osu: :io:

Michigan ALWAYS worries me. I've seen too many games where they beat us dating back to Woody.

This year though with Tressel and Troy Smith & Co, I just have this serene calm that I've never experienced in over 35 years.

Yeah...playing a team with a 3rd string QB to a 7 point win sends shivers down my spine.

I misread your post initially, and edited my post within seconds... I guess you were in invisible mode.

There is no third team... did you mean honorable honorable mentions? If UM's DL are all 1/2nd teamers, that only leaves 4 spots for Pitcock, Patterson, Gholston, Iwebema, Alford, Spencer, etc.
